Star Wars is the pinnacle of human creativity so anyone who doesn't like it is stupid and wrong.

I loved it Rogue One. Zero character development whatsoever but I'll allow it in a one off. CGI characters were reasonably well done IMO.

Good set pieces, good balance between fan service and doing it's own thing. As an exercise in expanding the Star Wars universe it was perfect.

If that's the standard for these Star Wars stories and we're gonna get something this good every couple of years forever, I'll be having a very good time.

Do I need to see VII to see Rogue One? I really wanna see it but haven't gotten around to see TFA. (Purely because it shit my ex girlfriend off that I hadn't. But that's another story).
No. Rogue One is between III and IV. It basically ends as A New Hope starts.

I am very against this statement. People should be able to have their own opinions, and should not be judged or called names because of it.

It doesn't come off that way.

El_Scorcho get in here and defend yourself!

It's not his fault that you can't read sarcasm well on the internet. Of course he's not actually calling you (or me for that matter!) "stupid and wrong". Seriously.

Star Wars is actually a pretty difficult franchise to outright hate, unless you're doing it for the same reason that people say they hate Queen or the Beatles.

Which everyone in this thread is.

You certainly don't have to be enamoured with it, and you might hate the overbearing fandom, but it's impossible to dislike the original films unless you're actively trying to.
