Cleaning up some of my old stuff at my parents place and found these things. Man our 2003 team had wome stars to go along with some absolute rubbish.

Not sure what Stu Cochrane had to do to get his face on a stamp though in 2002. Must've really been scraping the bottom of the barrel there, along with Mark Porter

Sorry if the photos come out crap!

After a season to forget, should we do some sort of get together in Melbourne in the next few weeks? I'd been keen to knock the froth off a couple

For those that follow the NFL, it's hard not to take some hope and inspiration from the Jaguars.

They finished last in 2020, finished last again in 2021, and had a coach with an awful relationship with the players who they sacked midyear. They bring in an experienced coach who had won a Super Bowl, bring in some experienced players, and now all of a sudden they seem playoff-bound despite being projected to perform poorly again.

Different sports, but a reminder that things can turn quickly.

O.k.
Just saw some 1990 u 19's g f.highlights.
Martin " Baynin " ?
No.17 with the brilliant blonde Brereton locks.

Keen watchers got any story on him ?

Travers Beynon, aka The Candyman, played under 19s for us. Born 1972, so timeframe seems right.

Bloke has dark hair though, so not sure Hoju.

File under boring encounters with North Melbourne players.

I walked next to Ben Cunnington while he shopped with his kids at Target in Warrnambool yesterday

Travis Martin-Beynon (born in Australia March 6, 1972) is the current business owner and Managing Director of Free Choice Australia, the number one leading retail tobacconist franchise with over 304 stores (272 franchise and 32 Company owned) plus a vending operation with more than 1300 machines nationwide.

Meet Travers Beynon – an Australian ‘Candyman’ and FreeChoice tobacco empire heir.

‘Candyman’ is a nickname he has chosen himself. Even his home is called Candy Shop Mansion.

Travers was born to an owner and a founder of a huge tobacco empire.

Well-raised and educated he had no boundaries in choosing a career, but suddenly Travers went in for football.

Beynon used to be an Aussie Rules footballer and started his career at Southport Sharks Football Club on the Gold Coast.

He had a standout 1989 Teal Cup carnival and was drafted into the North Melbourne as pick #4 in the 1989 pre-season AFL draft and did a pre-season at North Melbourne but suffered a debilitating back injury and didn't play any senior games.

Travers could be the white knight we are looking for.

A SELF-styled Australian playboy nicknamed Candyman is taking social media by storm with his outrageous tales of hard partying.

Travers Beynon holds an annual extravaganza at his Queensland home, also known as the Candyshop Mansion — but what do we know about him

The businessman reportedly has a net worth of £39 million.

He owns an impressive collection of cars - including Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

Beynon attended Clairvaux College, a boy's school on Brisbane's south side with the motto 'Christ is Our Life' for some of his high school years.

He was apparently a "bogan with a mullet" in school - similar to a Chav - and a bit of a troublemaker.
