Was going to be a statement- then i realised that this is the question thread. So i'll word it differently!

D. Stanley racked up the DT points in the GC game vs. GWS. This might lead to many DT'ers selecting him in their teams for this year.

Q.
Will there be confusion between D. Stanley and J. Stanley (both sporting the red and yellow), leading some DT'ers to select the wrong player in the final minutes before lockout???????

Knowing who your up against before the first lock out

Not sure if this has been asked but will we know who from our league we are playing against in round one before lockout starts? I have a couple of people out in round one and if I'm playing somebody crap from my league then I don't care but if it's somebody that I don't wanna lose to then I will replace them with others who are playing. Does anybody know if there will be a way to find out before it's too late and your team is already locked in?

Re: Knowing who your up against before the first lock out

I'd say you find out during/after the Thursday night game so you'd be able to take advantage of the partial lockout on Friday. I'm only guessing though.

is there a thread that discusses which premium players people are picking? Had a quick look but didnt find anything
You will have to search through each position thread to get a rough idea. You could check out the Rate My Team thread but don't read too much into what you find. Just pick the players you think will have a good year.

does anyone know if we can still do the vice-captaincy trick with the partial lockout. eg) don't select a captain. make Gibbs (vc). if you're not happy with Gibbs' score make Swan (c) on Friday night

???

No reason to suggest it will be any different this year. If you're allowed to trade non-Rich/Carl players post Thursday night it stands to reason that you should be able to move your Capt and VC around (or in this case, select your Capt post Thursday night).

In previous seasons we may have traded a player out if they were out injured for 3+ games. With all the byes could you see this changing? If so to what?

My question is, will it work again this year? Or will they have closed the loophole?

Just received an e-mail from Dream Team support saying we will have Partial Lockout Rounds 1, 5 and 6 with the same rules as last year about not trading or changing status (captain, V/C etc..) of the teams playing in the early game.

Totally new to dream team. Just trying to get my head around the partial lockout rounds and what it means.
Take for example round 1. I'm assuming it means that whatever Richmond/Carlton players you have in your team at that point, are locks? And then say sometime after the game finishes and before the start of the Friday game, you still have time to play around with your team?
For round 1, are you stuck with your 33 players from the start of the Thursday game, or can you still make free trades up until the start of the Friday game?
Also, do you have to name emergencies etc before the start of Thursday games? Say for example if you have a Richmond/Carlton player on the bench.
Sorry if my questions do not make total sense. Maybe somebody could give me a basic rundown on how it all works, the ins and outs. Would be greatly appreciated.

Correct.

You can make trades up until Friday with the exception of Richmond and Carlton players.

You can change your emergencies and captain's before the Friday game once again excepting Richmond and Carlton players.
