i think mark couglan is a player of the future and is going to bein top five players in the league, i jus wanna hear the views of other supporters.. had a great season in 03 and was destined for big things but then injury set him back..now he is climbing bak to the top..wat do u guys think..

Thats terribly harsh on the lad, he doesnt have the best foot skills but its far from saying he cant kick, and with his physicality and habit of bursting through packs, has proved very influential in match turning

doesn't have the best kicking skills, but can be fixed,..he racks up the possesions and i think if he makes them more efeective that will also help him, but by sayin he has no influence on matches was a bit harsh..
the tige3rs would of struggled even nore if the didn't have him..

great player,future captain stands up in tackles and always manages to get a hanball off into our advantage his kicking struggled abit last season after coming back from op, but with a full preaseason under his belt expect him to make his claim to sugar for the captaincy job

He does with his hard-ball work. Gets many clearances and tackles very hard.

He isn't slow, he just lacked a bit of pace after dealing with OP.

He likes to give our forward line space to lead into.

You left out his ball-winning capabilities, as well as the leadership he shows, he tackles hard, and you can never question his endeavour.

IMO - Absolute gun before OP, absolute gun when he recovered. Like Paul Licuria is amongst the hardest inside midfielders, and I'd love to bring either to Essendon. Don't agree with the slow, can't kick, etc comments...

Could not of said it better myself. Metallichris right again For anyone to say he can not kick and does not win us games then dont watch alot of Richmond games to start with. If Mark Coughlan was out of contract tomorrow the 15 other sides would try and get him. I am interested to see if he is the one that becomes captain once Johnson gives it away. I think i am right in saying he is in our leadership group now so he must be worth something. F/D so stop talking ******** as you have no clue in any issue football. Next thing you would tell us ur a good football player that's why u sit on ur arse and bag players that have some sort of talent. Which you dont have on or off the field.

I think Coughlan is an out and out gun of the competition who will only get better. Great in traffic and knows how to win the ball.
