Backline: Keep an eye out on Hurley, suspended till round one, May struggle to get in the team, although i think it should be fine. Also watch Kennely, first year back for break.

Mids: Really like it, maybe downgrade Cunnington to Bastinac to free up some cash, watch the nab cup as i feel bastinac may be a better option only problem is his lack of size. In saying that i have cunnington atm, will be watching next week to make my final decision on the two.

Rucks:Good choice with Tippet, should fire well this year.

Forwards:Id stay clear of Rioli, have heard he is struggling with OP a little, Johnson is great if he can get going early, i dont have him as i feel he may drop in price just a little especially after coming back from injury, watch the nab cup again for him. Robert Murphy i dont know, i think there are better, cheaper options.

Looks like an alright side mate. Not sure about Maguire down back. Also i have not heard much about Hitchcock, also Hille is a risk but you gotta take them. Apart from that looks good! Some thoughts on my side would be great..

I would look at getting another rookie in your MID to replace Prismall or McLean and use the money to get Goddard or a premium player of your choice into your DEF

Then you are looking pretty good for a 1st timer

Solid mids, not too sure whether Montagna is worth that sort of dosh, there are better others IMO eg. Selwood, Pendles

Personally I don't recommend both enright and mackie as they tend to steal each others points playing the rebounding defender role. With Harley gone Mackattack may have to be a bit more accountable too... Thats just me though.

Forwardline is very risky, varcoe isn't prone to high scores and not the best forward cow. Look at Burton for much cheaper based on his 1st NAB game score of 80something. Stevie J, Franklin and Gia tend to fluctuate greatly in scoring, if you have all 3 you will have a combover by seasons end due to lack of hair...

Definately upgrade mate.

You should be looking for about 14 genuine keepers in SC IMO. I reckon you have 11 at a (big) stretch.

Consider the following -

DEF - Schoenmaker is too expensive for a bench player.

MIDS - Trengove and Martin are probably starting rookies at the moment. Start them over Young, Ladson or McVeigh and look for some cheaper bench rookies.

RUCK - Hille is way too expensive to have on the bench. Try and save yourself $200K in this position.

FWD - Polak is probably too expensive for the bench. (I dont even know what he costs?) Toss this spud and get a cheap kid.

I think we may have saved you $700k at a guess.

Upgrade Ellis, McVeigh, Burton and Betts to genuine keepers.

You have 39 days of NAB cup and research before lock out. Get busy if you dont want a 200,000 overall ranking.

Fwds look handy. Not a Fev fan TBH nut looks good.

Rucks - I've just becoma a nic nat fan... Mind you, he was up against a hack of the highest order. Might need to wait until next game before committing.

backs are good except for Shaw... but that's my personal opinion.

Good backline. But will broughton bring as much value as he did last year??? I can't see it happening TBH.

Mumford on the bench?? That's a bit of coin doing nothing each week.

Fwds, again, one less Rookie starting I think. Overall, not bad though.
