Hey Melo,

I think your backs look pretty solid, be interesting to see what role Wilkes will play but hopefully will see a bit through the NAB Cup.

Mids - 4 premiums there makes for a strong midfield, a lot of people talking about K Stevens having a breakout year but definitely one to keep on the radar.

Rucks - pretty similar strategy to what others are doing - looking good

Forwards - I would be upgrading Smedts or Skinner dependant on likelihood of selection Rd1... apart from that looking very solid.

I am a first time poster - played SC last year and won my league against my mates with a fair share of good luck. If anyone could leave any feedback on my team I would greatly appreciate it!

I think you've tried to cover byes too much at the detriment of your team.

Lets face it, we will all cop a couple of zero's during this time but i wouldn't have both Fyfe and Goddard in your mids..

Fyfe needs to be forward.

Do you have some inside info on Ibbotson..?
Historically not a great SC scorer, had his best year back in 2008 averaging 81 and has only been in the 70's the last two seasons..

I Like the selection of Newman, especially hearing he will be pushing into the midfield this year.

Rucks are strong..

Forward line is decent, but i would definately ditch Folau and Zorko is injured so watch his return date.

But your mids need work.

Ablett with another top 5 premium with Goddard and Hayes would be acceptable.

I like your backline.
Only suggestion is i would swap Buntine for Townsend.

Mids are strong, Melksham is an interesting choice. He looked great in the NAB cup, has put on some muscle, priced at $332K is a bit awkward though, a player like Wingard may get within a 5-10 average of Melksham and cost you $160K less which you could use elsewhere.

Strong Rucks, but would be cautious on Kreuzer. Doubt he will be in the top 5 rucks for points and he will probably only rise 50-100K if that.

first 3 fwds are great, NRoo is a risk.. Byrnes, i'm assuming is Shannon..? out of favour at the cats as they are putting games into Christensen and Menzel..

Zorko is injured, so watch his return date.

Overall solid effort!

To be honest i think you could get someone better for priddis because he doesnt use the ball as effectively as others and others at similar price could be better. Also is there any reason you have Nick Riewoldt, i dont think he will do much better than last year

#1ish rule of sc/dt is try to steer clear of 'impact players'-players who win games for their club with spurts of brilliance but can go quiet,unless you don't mind the odd 140 followed by many 70's such players include NicNat(unless Cox goes down),jetta,bettes,rohan(thus far)dangermouse,bennel(gc)PETRIE(hint)J Roo,varcoe,etc...unless they are cheap(cashcow) or you live next door and witnessed the geinie giving them a new motor,marking abillity,hardness etc. Or you decide on 1 final risky unique gap filling pick.....but you still have gaps

Interesting back line. Dempsey.. haven't seen him mentioned much.

Good mids, though i'd be tempted to leave martin in the fwds. I like morabito as a mature age underpriced player. Not sure on Coniglio though.

Strong rucks.

Fwds are a good combo. not sure how it looks in the bye weekends though. Cyril & Pav are risks as starting premiums. Will they be top ten end of year? Will Riewoldt?

You still play league matches in the bye rounds, so it will still affect picking a team to some degree.

pretty solid team, backline is a bit weak but I guess you can't be strong in all lines. Petrie, Cloke and Jroo are all prone to low scores at some stage hope it doesn't all happen on the same week for you.
