D: Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Goodwin, Waters, Maguire, Hooker (Davis, Hams)
M: Barlow, Cooney, Selwood, B Green, Judd, Trengove (Rohan, Stevenson)
R: Sandilands, Hille (Warnock, Lobbe)
F: Chapman, Pav, J Brown, ROK, Harvey, Pods, Franklin (Gumby, Hitchcock)

With 74K in the bank, should i downgrade gumby to Watts and upgrade Hooker/Maguire/Waters to a Enright or Gilbee?
Or upgrade Trengove to someone??

Depends how many trades you have left.

I'd hold Trengove as his score will hold for the next fortnight. If as indicated you can execute the following, then go for it:

Gumbleton - Watts
Waters/Maguire/Hooker - Gilbee

Hey guys, 8 trades left and making my last two so I can sit tight for a number of weeks.

I'm considering Murphy or Montagna for Martin but unsure who to pick at the moment, was going to go Murphy but heard he has been getting tagged fairly heavily is recent weeks.

I'm after Murphy, getting tagged isn't fazing him to be honest and was back to his best on the weekend. Either him or Dal Santo, really can't choose between the two. You could grab a Boyd or Cross in the midfield so then you have a midfielder from each side (nothing wrong with Ablett and Selwood, I have the same set up lol). I'd thought H. O'Brien would have a better SC year. Decent looking side. Any thoughts on my side? it's posted back on the same page as this about 4-5 posts back.

Some very good teams here..

Here's mine.

B: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Shaw, Gilbert, Hurn, Malceski (Webberley Roberton)
M: Ablett, Swan, Judd, Selwood, Dal Santo, Barlow (Rohan, Howlett)
R: Sandilands, Hille (Trengove, McCauley)
F: Chapman, Brown, O'Keefe, Goodes, Harvey, Podsiadly, Rockliff (Gumbleton, Hitchcock)

Upgrading my F7 once Howlett hits his peak which should be in about 3-4 weeks.

Yep, Martin is definitely the weak link, lowest on field average by nearly 10 points. Have you thought about Swan?

Geez I like that team. Very very tidy indeed.

Think I'll probably trade in Gilbee this week for Waters leaving me with this team and 9 trades:

B: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Gilbee, Malceski, Goodwin, Maguire (Webberly, Davis)
M: Ablett, Swan, Selwood, Dal Santo, Barlow, Martin (Shuey, Banner )
R: Kruezer, Hille (Warnock, McNamara)
F: Pavlich, O'Keefe, Brown, Harvey, Higgins, Goodes, Pods (Fyfe, Hitchcock)

To upgrade: Martin and possibly Hille

Not the best looking team compared to some of the ones on here! but pretty happy with it. Some mistakes from the very start have cost me: i.e. Not having Sandi (my rucks look yuck) and having Goodwin and Gray.. Also really wish I had some cash when Reiwoldt went down so I could have got Chappy . But Higgins has been pretty solid I guess

I'm considering the following:

Rockliff -> Rohan
Warnock -> Skipper

Both fairly sideways I know. But Skipper frees up some cash and should get PLENTY of games. And Rohan can then MPP into the midfield and bring down Higgins to sure up my fwds. Next week I'll then updgrade Kennelly to any back I want. My team will then look like this.

Backs - Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Enright, Shaw, Maguire, Webberley (Kennelly, Trengrove)
Mids - Ablett, Swan, Barlow, Selwood, M.Murphy, Howlett (Bastinac, Rohan)
Rucks - Sandilands, Natanui (Skipper, Lobbe)
Fwds - Pavlich, Brown, Didak, ROK, Podsiadly, Higgins, Rioli, (Gumbleton, Davis)

Thoughts?

I agree that Hall, Martin and Waters are your priorities - Maguire will still go up. We have a similar bench line-up, I'm going to trade Peterson for Watts as a permanent F8 for the reason of the season and upgrade Martin. While Gumbleton has peaked I'd recommend offloading him for Watts and get Judd - worth the extra cash for your last spot. I'd look at upgrading Waters and Martin first as there are some cheap premium backs right now in Gilbee and Shaw.

I have ten trades left and 315k in the bank

B: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Malceski, Waters, Kennelly, Maguire (Davis, Webberly)
M: Abblet, Swan, Selwood, Pendles, Barlow, Bastinac (Shuey, Stevenson)
R: Sandi, Naitanui (Warnock, Lobbe)
F: Pav, Buddy, Brown, PODS, Higgins, Hall, Fyfe (Hitchcock, Gumby)

Any suggestions?

Well you havent good goodes or ROK, both are highly discounted and should come good! so maybe look at fyfe to goodes and bastinac to ROK.
u will need to upgrade kenelly, your backline is looking weak. gilbert, fisher, goodwin or gilbee would all fit in there nicely. mids and rucks are fine.

Here's mine.

D:Hodge. Goddard, Melceski, Gilbee, Enright, Gilbert, Maguire (Silvagni, Webberly)
M: Ablett, Barlow, Cooney, Selwood, Judd, Bastinac (Shuey, JKT)
R: Sandi, Tippet (Warnock, Lobbe)
F: Pavlich,Brown, Harvey, Goodes, Pods, Franklin, Fyfe (Davis, Hitchcock)

I've got 11 trades and 42k in the bank.

What do you guys think I should do? I'm thinking Silvagni > Cambell heath or roberton and bastinac to ROK. I'm playing the top of the ladder this week and it should be pretty close, however ROK should drop another 20k next week....plus then I'd get to see heath play his second game.
That would leave me with maybe 30k and 9 trades to sit and wait till fyfe has made enough to be upgraded with hitchcock/davis's money. then tippet and goose are the only two who would not be classed as keepers however I would wait till the end of the year to upgrade them (pending injuries) leaving me a few trades for finals.
All advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

Very good team! The only real downside is your midfield bench. Would definitely try and get Bastinac to a premium mid though. ROK could be a good choice though if cash is limited as he is pretty cheap at the moment.

Tippet should have been gone a long time ago i must admit, so that's probably the 2nd area to upgrade. :p You have good cover in the forward line so perhaps downgrading one of them to upgrade Tippet could be an option as Fyfe seems to be doing well to be considered a decent F7 player.

My team:

D: Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Enright, H.Shaw, Newman, Maguire (Davis, Webberly)
M: Ablett, Barlow, Cross, Dal Santo, Judd, Howlett (Martin, Shuey)
R: Sandilands, Cox (Warnock, 83ker)
F: Pavlich, RO'K, Didak, Harvey, Franklin, Pods, Hall (Gumbleton, Roberts )

Martin to Swan within a month. Hall to Riewoldt later in the year are my only planned trades. 9 at the moment which is kind of low.

Here is my final team. I have just upgraded Maguire to Gilby. I now have 5 trades left for injuries :D

NewPicture-1.jpg

That's a great 22, and virtually similar to what I'll have when my trades are done come the bye. The problem is you really have no bench cover except the forwards, and even there I don't think Hitchcock and Rocky will last the season.

If you cop a mid injury, or if Roberton gets pushed out soon, you will be in trouble IMO.

antz, very solid side, my concerns are, 1, five trades is leaving yourself short at this time of year. 2, im not sold on goodes this year becoz he isnt raking up midfield type numbers and a didak or grundy is better options. 3, midfield cover is weak and when you inevitably have a player miss a game or two through injury your likely to be caught with a zero. 4, your 7th backman is poo.

I know what you mean. I'm top 400 at the moment so want to make some in roads. See what happens. If I have to cop a zero so be it

Tempting as it sounds. Gumbleton > Watts and Martin > Murphy gives me 149.5 k for a Waters upgrade next week.

Nice team mate, decent cover in all possies with only howlett and goose that aren't quite cutting it plus enough trades left. I'd wait till shuey starts playing again, then trade Martin down and howlett up.
Then wait till close to finals and if u have enough trades left I'd upgrade goose and or hall depending on form, trades etc. Davis or webberly should give u some cash, while still leaving u solid cover. Very impressed mate.

I picked up Watts and Murphy, bit of a risk since most will get Montagna but wanted him all year and a bargain at 503k - leaves me with 70k so probably 2 upgrades from 3 trades.

Watts/Murphy again sounds like a good move mate for your team situation, 149.5k could get you Gilbee if the price is right next week. Murphy is consistent and as I said Watts is a permanent F8 barring injury until end of year.

7 trades left after this week, but my side looks reasonable now.

Hodge, Goddard, Gilbee, Enright, Goodwin, Waters, Maguire (P.Davis, Webberly)
Ablett, Barlow, Montagna, Cooney, Pendlebury, Judd (Moles, Stevenson)
Sandilands, Hille (Trengove, Warnock)
Chapman, Pavlich, Brown, O'Keefe, Podsiadly, Franklin, Playfair (L.Davis, Rockliff)

Obviously Neon being out this week hurts my forwards a bit. But I reckon my own upgrades after this week will be Waters and Maguire.

:thumbsu:

9 Trades left and $126k

B: Hodge, Goddard, Malceski, Enright, Goodwin, Broughton, Maguire (Silvagni, Webberly)

M: Ablett, Swan, Montagna, Barlow, Mitchell, Boyd (Bastinac, Banner)

R: Sandilands, Hille (Trengrove, Warnock)

F: Chapman, Pavlich, Franklin, Goodes, O'keefe, Podsiadley, Brown (Rockliff, Hitchcock)

Not bad TG..

Pavlich, Brown, OKeefe, Giansiracusa, Hall, franklin, Dangerfield (gumbleton, rockliff)
