Advice.. I know this will change a bit time season rocks around.. but i feel i have my core there.. the earlier the better.

One of the high priced rookie mids might go for the likes of bastinac or other preseason 84gs bolter.

I have built around the concept of 7 potential upgrades so 2 trades per upgrade at most. more like 1.7 i guess if you want to get technical if you cash in players at the right time. So i start with 15 keepers that im happy with.(I know that it doesnt usually work that way).. Including one of the mid price group in each group e.g. ladson, kennelly, suban turning into a decent enough borderline keeper.

Oh yeah and I plan to upgrade Jamie Charman when he gets injured etc... To the 2nd or 1st best ruckman.. too many of the ruckmen are iffy bar.. H-MAC or Sandi..

One of the high priced rookie mids might go for the likes of bastinac or other preseason 84gs bolter.

I have built around the concept of Max 7 potential upgrades so 2 trades per upgrade at most. more like 1.6 Trades i guess if you want to get technical if you cash in players at the right time. So i start with 15 keepers that im happy with.(I know that it doesnt usually work that way).. Including one of the mid price group in each group e.g. ladson, kennelly, suban turning into a decent enough borderline keeper.

So that leaves 6 trades for injuries and finals which i know is never enough.. damn VS why cant they give us a few more trades..

Oh yeah and I plan to upgrade Jamie Charman when he gets injured etc... To the 2nd or 1st best ruckman.. too many of the ruckmen are iffy bar.. H-MAC or Sandi..

Backs - good

Mids - Palmer injured, Scully being eased into it. I'd get Swift + Trengove

Rucks - Fine, bit cheap but decent cash cows

FWDS - Hall bit risky

With a few changes seems like a decent team.

nice team, i just dont rate charman in dreamy. he's behind leunberger and mitch clark already, he'll struggle to get enough game time to be worth having him. if the blues end up playing warnock in round 1, and if kreuzer looks like playing forward more, maybe start him on the field? Also not sold on Barry Hall. He's not a great DT player, and he'll take the number 1 or 2 defender each week

Few things.

BacK: Look fine, not sure about picking Hurley though, i would personally trade him out for Ladson or someone like that.

Mids: Palmer is injured, so trade him out. Rest looks good.

Rucks: Standard rucks there.

Forwards: Little bit weak IMO. I would aim to upgrade one of Staker or Watts to a premium forward if possible.

Have strengthened the fwd line buy bringing in two starting rookies in the midfield. Some will say this is risky, but I feel that there is plenty of depth in Mids, and the same type move worked last year with Rich/Otten as starters at Rnd 1 with anthony on bench.

Heres hoping the Trengrove/Scully/Martin combo can produce similar results....

Backs - Not so keen on Chornes imo I see his scores beginning to slide. Also i'd be looking to get some cash to upgrade one of your mid prices, probably henderson if it were me.

Mids - Palmer is injured apperently, if he's ready by rd 1 could make some decent cash though. Fairly expensive bench maybe downgrade cunnington to free up some cash.

Rucks - Good rucks.

Forwards - Good, although i dont know much about Podsiadly, could work well for you if he gets a run.

The whole team I like a lot... except for your choice of Levi Greenwood and Brad Sheppard. I agree with the possibility of having Brad Sheppard as a 7th back but you are going to get killed in the backs with only 3 keepers. You must try and upgrade Greenwood to a McPhee or even Joel MacDonald... I like the idea of the Scully/Trengove/Martin combo by the way... that will work well and If I have the room I will possibly take that approach :thumbsu:

My team atm.

BACKS.
R Shaw, Adcock, Hodgy, Mackie, Greenwood, Kennelly, Ladson. (Sheppard, davis)

MIDS.
Bartel (C), Selwood (VC), Deledio, Daziell, Swift, Trengrove (Bastinac, Shuey)

RUCKS
Kruezer and Tippet (Lobbe, Warnock)

FORWARDS.
O'keefe, Sylvia, Brownie, Higgins, Ziebell, Dangerfield, Dennis-lane (gumby, tapscott)

Could cop a few injuries but hoping it all goes well.

Your backline has potential, good overall, but queries over Polak and Raines. On the other hand, your forwards are very good.

Your rucks are the shakiest part of your team. Selecting two players coming back from serious injury takes a lot of balls, but if it pays off it'll put you ahead of the pack.

You can't go much wrong with the midfield, and the players you've selected are very strong and overall unique. Only problem is Judd is going to miss the first few rounds, so be prepared to play another rookie in your mids for the short term (making it 3 rookies in total on-field). If you're set on getting Judd into your team, is it not more worthwhile buying a mid-pricer and upgrading them to Judd after they have played the first 3 games and gone up in price; therefore making you a trade profit?

Just a suggestion. :thumbsu:
thx for the feedback i just traded polak for mcguane and added sherman for judd

I've noticed a fair few people are going for both Lobbe and J Trengove as their backup ruckmen, both obviously from Port Adelaide. By all accounts it looks like Lobbe will be playing second fiddle to Brogan this season with Trengove as the third string.

Just think it would make more sense to go for Warnock etc, to give yourself more chance at earning some cash off of the bench?

Fisher. He is in his prime and part of a good team. Cornes is on the decline and could struggle with injury again.

Thats who I currently have in.

Just think Chad might roam without an opponent down back again this year and cash in on touches. We'll potentially play three talls aswell as Chad and he'll do what he likes.

What's the deal with this Sheppard guy from WC? Is he a walk up start as a rookie?

Not too sure, i got him in my team buts its all because of hype. Westcoasts backline isn't stacked by any means therefore he shuld get a go sometime this season and in addition players like nicoski/waters/jones/spangher are all subject to injury/drop in form so therefore he could come in sometime in the year. Many ppl have gone for him due to a severe lack of rookies in the backline.

In addition he is a number 7 pick and in the past, pick 7s usually do quite well (selwood, palmer, rich)

Port's ruck situation sounds similar to Sydney's last year... Lobbe= Currie and Currie did not play a game however Pyke the rookie played games, Pyke= Cam Cloke. haha
