appreciate some feedback on below please:

Goddard, Enright, Grimes, H. Shaw, Hodge, Malceski, Hunt
Bench: Webberley, Davies

Bartel, Hayes, Mitchell, Boyd, Barlow, Banner
Shuey, Kayler-Thompson

Sandilands, Nicnat
Warnock, Lobbe

Harvey, Giansiracusa, Gray, Ziebell, Hall, Stevens, Campbell
Rockcliff, Podsiadly

Like the side alot. Barlow going to be a regular starter?

Risk with nicnat as i cant seeing him score decent each week, but which ruck can at that price?

good side overall

Hey guys, im confused on which way to go with my 2 different sides.

DT8.jpg

with this one there is less risk in the FWD line, hoping the medhurst will play the whole year, what do people thing? which is very important as the rookies in the FWD line are no guarantee. but then there is risk in the MID as im not 100% on barlow and how many games he will play and im not 100% sure on my ruck division.

------------

DT9.jpg

With this side, im more sold on the back and mid, rucks are not that much different and then the risk comes with the FWD line with having to play a rookie but the rest is strong.

lmaohelp,

I'd go your first team as like you say its a little safer and i think overall its a lot better.

Medhurst should be good and i prefer Tippet to Kruz.

Also dunno how Rockliff will go when the other brissy mids start getting more TOG.

This is my team btw - i think im gonna win!

Goddard - Grimes - Hodge - Shaw - Houli - Malceski - Hunt with Waters & Maguire

Bartel - Cooney - Mcveigh - Martin - Barlow - Banner with Shuey and Moles

Sandilands - Seaby with Skipper & Roughead

Reiwoldt - O'keefe - Brown - Pavlich - Byrnes - Ziebell - Ballantyne with Gunston and Podsiadly

Copy this side if you want to be in with a chance for the car!!

Chad is getting old, there are plenty of better choices at his price. Harbrow could be a good pick, I have been considering him.

Strong midfield, no need to change. Hille probably won't start round 1, but Warnock should be able to cover until he's up to it.

Buddy isn't starting round 1, are you sure Pods or Gumbleton will be playing?

My team : Backs- Duffield,Enright,Hodge,Kennelly,Ladson,Hunt,Waters (Davis,Delaney)

Mids- Swan,Bartel, J Selwood,Cooney,Mcveigh,Martin (Shuey,Bastinac)

Ruck- Sandilands,Tippett (Warnock,Lobbe)

Fwd- Riewoldt,O Keefe,Pavlich,Gia,Rob Murphy,Mayne,Rockliffe (TDL,Pods)

Im well aware how shaky my backline is. But I got r*ped in the backline last year even though my strategy was picking "durable" players.

Other than that any thoughts?

pretty solid team.. dont like the idea of all 4 of ladson, hunt, kennely and waters has starters in your backline... maybe downgrade one of your premo mid's or mcveigh for a young cash cow and put some extra cash into one of those backs.. my pick would be hunt, even when he's fit he hasnt ever average over 70.

Enright, Grimes, Hodge, Shaw, Malceski, Ladson, Kennelly HUNT, TRNEGOVE
Bartel, Selwood, Watson, Cooney, Trengove, Martin, BARLOW SHUEY
Sandialnds, Nicnat, LOBE WARNOCK
Reiwoldy, Okeefe, Pavlich, Le Cras, Zeibel, Mayne, Hitchcock, GUMBLETON DENNIS-LANE

My selections so far:

DEF:
Starters: R Hargrave - J Gram - C Enright - L Hodge - T Kennelly - R Ladson - J Hunt
Bench: J Trengrove(Port) - P Davis

MID:
Starters: J Bartel - M Boyd - J Selwood - C Masten - J Trengrove(Melb) - D Matrin
Bench: L Shuey - R Bastinac

RUCK:
Starters: A Sandilands - D Hille
Bench: R Warnock - M Lobbe

FWD:
Starters: A Goodes - M Pavlich - D Giansiracusa - L Franklin - R Gray - J Ziebell - P Dangerfield
Bench: T Dennis-Lane - J Posiadly

$41k in the bank.

Not too sure if I have invested too much in DEF and am missing out on an upgrade in the FWDs. I was thinking of dropping Hargrave for H Shaw and trying to upgrade Gray, Gia or Buddy.

Any thoughts?

I honestly can't see a bad side in that team, one of the best posted on here IMO.

Here is my side, what do you think?

newteamw.jpg

Obviously I am taking a risk with my midfield and starting three rooks but here is my reasoning.

I could upgrade conners to say watson and then bring in ladson/waters...However, I see conners outscoring ladson/waters and I see duffield/grimes being close to the same average as Watson.

Thoughts? am i crazy?

@WeninRome

You have a good number of keepers, meaning you won't need to trade around your forwards and backs much. The being said, to free up the cash you have used for them, as you mentioned, you're taking a gamble that your cheap midfield will fire. It could pay off, it might not. I guess the question is how big are your balls? A team like this could pay dividends down the track, or leave you high and dry without the option of trading down or up with the already cheap Midfielders.

I am hesitant with Malceski though. He burnt me last year and I don't see him playing a role in the Swans line up that will score DT points. Maybe drop him for a Ladson or Kennelly (Both of which may be just as risky) and look for a trade up on Medhurst (Only because I have something against that bloke) or just keep the extra $$.

Chad Cornes is a big no for me; has really struggled in the past couple of years IMO. Was absolutely woeful on the weekend as well.

Your forwards and backs are obviously very, very strong. :thumbsu:

I like the fact that you've chosen Ottens in the ruck as not many others have from what i've seen. Is injury free and capable of some huge scores. Hille is a risk worth taking IMO. :thumbsu:

Obviously the midfield is your weakness but you have compensated well elsewhere.

As much as i love him, SJ is extremely unreliable due to injuries. In fairness, when playing he is DT gold.

Like the pick of Mackay in midfield coz it's unique :thumbsu:

Ladson is a spud of the highest order IMO.

Sorry if i sound a little negative coz i reckon you've got a ripper team :thumbsu:

Awesome team; especially with so much $ left in the bank. I'd consider upgrading 1 of Malceski, Waters and Hunt (Waters and Hunt coming back from serious injuries and Malceski has been injury prone in the past).

Was thinking of putting Webberly on the pine in my side as well; what's the word down at tigerland on the likelihood of him getting a game?

Webberley isnt a certainty at the moment... but i think any richmond kid is likely to get a game this year. Hardwick noted that he did well against the cats last week. I think plenty of richmond kids will debut this year, him included

Nice choice of Connors, I dont have the balls at this stage but he could be a great pick :thumbsu:

Personally I dont think Dangerfield is a great DT selection but judging by most of the teams on here I think I am a minority on that one.

Some of your reserves are a bit avg, if you are going to pay 130k for Sheppard then make sure he is named round 1. Not sure about the logic in Firrito or Ottens.
