I don’t rate pies youth particularly highly compared to others

Some are possibly on the way out by years in Macrae, Ryan, Long

Most if not all of 2024 draft haul will likely never reach 50 games

Harrison, Allan, Jiath, Smit, Parker, Mcguane are the most likely types to go on with it imo

But the club orthodoxy is now more towards trading in established players rather than drafting

And as long as McRae is there I think that topping up that way will continue to be emphasised

It's funny though, we set ourselves up to get smashed in these youth rankings.

We go: look at Norths kids in Sheezel and Wardlaw, but then when discussing ours only talk about the reserves players and don't include Daicos or even McCreery.

I think Bobby is more of a like for like “replacement” for Elliott as the high flying small forward
I wonder if HH can replace Sidey on the wing

I think he is more of an impact player not sure what his endurance is like. Half forward with some centre bounces I feel is his future

Bobby and Elliott are not really alike... Elliott is foremost a sharp leading marking target in the F50, shooting fast leads out from the goalsquare. He does a little bit of crumbing (but not much) and defensive work, but mostly he's a lead out, mark and kick a set shot goal type.

Bobby is the opposite.
