if he doesn't suspend Fev IMO.

Ratten also has the Tanking issue over his head as well. That he replaced Pagan so that you guy's didn't win any more other matches??? Wether it's true or not doesn't matter, it's a perception that he must now live with.

So how do you change this perception of being a puppet....... you put your fist down and you suspend your top forward to show that you have strength as a coach and as a leader.

My view is that he will let Fev play...... and thus send a bad message to the hole club.
I hope I'm wrong for your sake, and the future of the Carlton football club.

Your post is very week, weak even. Very very very week / weak.

Ratten replaced Pagan on his merits and ahead of the gnome who thought for a day that we were tanking. You're lucky Terry tanked that last game, aren't you? Otherwise no Cotchin for you.

What a crock of shit. You are here because you don't want Fev to play. In doing so you take a shot at thanking and think you are going to taunt Carlton into doing what you want them to do and drop Fev.

How transparent can you get? No need to bring up tanking allegations against Ratten. In fact he has come out and emphatically denied it and explained all of the issues Libba brought up. Any perpetuation of that levelled specifically against one person might land you in hot water.

I think this orchestrated push by Tigers fans should cease. We don't need a new thread every time one of you has an idea, then heads over here to post the same thing as the last person.

We do not care what Tigers fans think about Carlton. You talk about our culture, cheating, tanking, corrupt presidents, never being respected again .... then when something happens that can benefit the Tigers, they get all concerned as though Carlton can do something that will redeem us in their eyes.

Fact is, if we drop Fev and lose, you guys spread across BigFooty bragging, laughing and still calling us corrupt cheats. Nothing changes. This concern about the Blues doing the right thing is shortlived and nobody is swayed by it.

We will deal with it within the club and player group and accept whatever verdict they come up with and will not give two hoots about calls of weakness, I mean god, haven't we heard worse from the same group of supporters?

Ratten would look very WEAK

Besides, $10 says if you weren't playing us in Round 1 - you wouldn't give a shyte.

Fev is a problem child though ...
Sorry about the spelling, I love the english language.

I actually do care, I want to play a FULL strength Carlton.

Ratten was instructed to coach a certain way last season, and that Pagan may well of pinched a couple of wins and ruined your plans came trade and draft time.

I'm not trolling and I'll leave after this post.

But Ratten needs to show he is fair Dinkum, up till now he hasn't. The fev situation is a perfect opportunity I would have thought to show the football world he is fair Dinkum.

GREAT POST....... you see right through me Richard Grieco ( night at the Roxbury)

You guy's are lot smarter than I thought.:):thumbsu:

You gotta love the footy.

Gotta laugh at Richmond supporters clutching at straws.

They would not give a flying **** if we weren't playing them and here they are taking the moral high ground all of a sudden.

I think that is an unfair assessment of Richmond supporters, we care about what Carlton does, we want a strong Carlton team in the comp I like nothing better then big games between traditional rivals.

The bigger issue I would have thought was why was Fev out till dawn so drunk he is urinating on shop windows 5 days before the begining of the season. To me him emptying his tank on a shop window is secondary to this and with a young list what sort of example is this to them.

Fortunatly im not the coach but if I was id can his backside for the first month and make him give a full appology to the playing group for letting the whole side and supporters down.

Fevs a poster boy for that contrite sportsman on the wedge

Great post...

The fact that Carlton supporters Can't see this is the result of the NEW Carlton Culture of denial......

Thanks for removing all doubt about your intention here. Next foray should up the ante further.

Good call. I am sure we got the tanking jibes last year when we suspended Fevola for far worse than this and we lost the Melbourne game when he was out. Some have already said that we shouldn't suspend Fev unless we are tanking already.

So Fev stays = culture
Fev suspended = tanking

They all see what they want.

btw Wasn't Fev suspended for having a go at Libba after the Freo game? I'm surprised that Libba didn't say we tanked the next game by suspending him.

With all due respect ODN, now you're just covering your asses...

With all due respect, only one of us cares about what is best for Carlton and it isn't you. Thanks for your input, it wasn't needed though.

Clealry you have some inside information and should go to the AFL while they are incestigating these claims. Thanks for speaking up.

No......of course you aren't........you just are privy to very sensitive information and have choosen to let us know about it first.......thank you and good luck with the investigation.:thumbsu:

********.

The reason why you misspelled it is because you only care about the fact that if he's suspended for a WEEK it means you might beat us! You couldn't care less otherwise what Ratten does.:p

I just had that thought when I saw this back up the top of my subscribed threads. The misspelling was annoying me until I saw the Freudian slip.

Yet, if it were Richardson in the same position, it would be essential that he play on Thursday:rolleyes:.

Not at all. When our players misbehave we act swiftly and they are punished accordingly.
Ask Shulz
And I am sure if it was Adam Hartlett, he would be punished accordingly too. The problem is by suspending Fev we again punish the whole team who have had their tails up coming into the season. We run the risk of derailing our whole season from the outset and gain ill afford the interruption.

Last time I checked, people weren't locked up for a week for slashing in the street, why should it be the same in Brendan's situation, kicked out for a week? He didn't ask for camera's to bo be on him at all times.

It's tough situation.

Do play him because you want to be more competitive? Very feasible, infact he is very unlucky that it was caught on tape.

Or do you send a message to the whole playing group that Carlton doesn't put up with that sought of behavior no more? Short term pain for long term gain???

Firstly, like others, I believe the main issue is that Fev was out at 4am, five days before the first game. The urinating, whilst it's a bit feral, is something I could handle (we've all done it).

Having said that, this is a tough stuation for the Blues. Damned if they do, and damned if they don't. Weighing up short term vs long term, and handing down a decision.

Good luck.
