Nothing Vanders, that was the problem, someone just did their usual trick, of when they have been perusing other sites, while under the influence, decide to post the results here.
Back to the original question, you risk getting food poisoning, but why would you eat it, if you get a raw burger, then you take it back & kick up a big stink & tell them you are going to the media, unless you get a replacement & a years free supply of Macca's in compensation.
Mind you, I would sue for money, because I would rather starve than eat that cr*p.
nothing wrong with eating raw meat....think steak tartare, carpaccio, sashimi, cerviche, et al...
I can understand having rare beef in a burger but not raw, which is gross. I would definitely have complained! yeah, you can get food poisoning, or worse, esp. if the raw meat has been sitting around for a while, i.e in the area where they keep the burgers warm.

It depends. Bacteria is killed by the cooking process and if you dont cook meat you run the risk of ingesting harmful bacteria and getting sick or even dyeing.

You can get food poisoning if you eat raw meat.
you only get food poisoning if the meat has no been handled correctly (ie stored ,prepared etc)
raw meat will do you no more harm than cooked meat, if handled properly
