For sure I'd back our guys. It is where we've put our most talent.

Thilthorpe and Rachele would be absolutely ideal additions to our forward line and I am definitely jealously looking forward to seeing them play. But overall their forward line needs major work and we should dominate them.

We simply cannot afford to be commencing away matches half asleep, and not spring to action until half way through the initial quarter like we did on so many occasions last year. I'd very much like to witness improvement in this area!!!

Pretty excited and nervous for today's game. Nervous cause of the result, but excited as it will be the first ever Freo game my son and I will watch together so I'll put on the only clothes I've personally bought him so far which may have been bought at the AFL store.

Hopefully my old man comes over and it will be 3 generations watching the highs and lows of a typical Freo game. Go Freo and please win Freo...i don't want to swear in front of them.

I agree with you entirely, and it is why I really like this game as our season opener.

We can win, but it isn't a gimmee.

The result is a really good measure of where we are. And it can set our season up.

I think we win comfortably. We should be all over them in the midfield and we will run them ragged from our defence.

Just enjoy the moment no matter what happens. Watching with family and friends and handing down that passion through generations of family is more important than 4 points.

My one year old is nearly two now and has actually tolerated a bit of footy this weekend, randomly yelling out ‘ball’ (her favourite toy at the moment). I’m super excited about watching out boys run around in her favourite colour with her this arvo.
