Liked us starting with Ed, Cuners in the middle.

He’s a bit of a tease Cuners, puts in 10 minutes where he carves it up, then 15 of nothing, all above shoulders with him.

Fish is getting mauled in the middle, try him off a wing or a ff.

SPS and Walsh spent time as loose in the back fifty, which was reasonable.

This is the worst performing Carlton team I've seen, others may have had less talent, but this group is so far from what is required to be successful its painful to watch. And in the likely event of a coaching change. The next coach has a lot of work to do in rebuilding the players ability to get to the level required.

Our skills were woeful but I’m starting to think part of it actually may be the coaching. Kicking into the 50 was marked by interceptor playing in front almost every time.

I’ll always be with you Blues but this is just awful. I don’t like potting players but there were a few who couldn’t even get the basics right.

And now we don’t even have pick 1 to look forward to . Hilarious that this is what I’ve been looking forward to the past few years

I have nothing positive to say , if there is, please tell me. Otherwise, please wake me when it’s over

Walsh, Kreuzer and Weitering played ok

we can't string 2 passes together because the players don't know where to run to get into positions to receive the ball.

our skills are terrible because the bloke kicking it has so few options

People that are saying we have never been worse have a short memory. I remember a starting midfield in the early noughties being hotton, plunkett, hulme and Macdonald going up against Rehn, riccuito, liptak and McLeod at the first bounce.
I'd love Hulme in this side, he has what no other player at the CFC has right now.

These players have the talent already. I Know because a lot of other clubs had them in their sights. That is all about the teacher and how is teaching.

Would’ve loved to have been a fly on the wall in the rooms after the game.

What is the coach got to say that was different this week than last?

It's like playing a broken record. Only its a William Hung record rather than Adele.

Half way through the season and I've been to 8 games live.

Every time I see boys against men. The difference is stark. Especially around the middle. Opposition now know if they target Cripps heavily we are in big trouble. Cripps today wasn't only tagged but hit from everywhere and no one helped him. No one blocks or heavily takes out a player. Not good enough. What is also an issue is the more mature players in Curnow Lang Plowman Fasolo, Newmans ball use were poor. Makes it bloody hard

The talent is there but it desperately needs help especially on ball. Very disappointed in Kennedy today.

One player I have nearly had enough of is Plowman. His positioning and lack of physicality is poor. I don't think he is a very good defender. Needs to go back to 2's and tried in another role. He's a mature player and doesn't do enough and makes too many mistakes and gets beaten way too often.

Positives: I liked SPS off HB. Stocker showing his class. Defence lead by Weitering did a good job despite midfield struggles. Setterfield just needs fitness. Walsh, Kruezer good

Our midfield now and going forward will be: Cripps, Walsh, Stocker, Dow, Setterfield, Fisher & SPS.
That what is so frustrating, the blokes in there don't suck.
There is talent in that group.

Tell me that Brad Scott, Chris Scott, Bill Scott and Bob Scott all would not do a better job.

Zac Fisher was a really promising prospect, Petrevski-Seton too.
Dow was active today, didn't mind his game.

But too many young players haven't progressed or integrated into any workable system. It's a significant concern.
3 promising mids... who have regressed! wow... who would have thunk it with Barker apparently running the midfield!

All im saying is that certain practices/individuals in an organisation may be toxic and have never had an outside torch shone upon them. Yes, a better conductor may be a fix but are there other constants during our dismal recent history that need to be looked at independently?

We just Andrew Russell in last off season.
We keep him no matter what.

I know some have SOS in the gun, but I don't.
I see Walsh, Stocker and I like what I see.
I see our 2015 draft KPPS and I like what I see.

Not everything is broken.

Barker is a constant through all of this. He should be given marching orders this week.

Can someone honestly tell me what Barker knows about being a midfielder?

I'm sure there are examples but can someone point to positional assistant coach who was highly successful that never played the position that they coached? Personally it's worse than having a coach who never played at the AFL level , at least Bolts played at some level.

You have been seeing it for years, yet we turned over almost our whole list in 4 years.

It's more than that. 7 out of the 22 today came from other clubs and one of them was Ed Curnow who has been a decent servant over the years.

I'll take my straight jacket on that particular point.

We've continually and rightfully so turned over our list......without improvement or results.
Pretty obvious that something stinks here.
I feel sorry for Fitzroy and it's supporters because our newly broken records week in and week out make the Roy's look like they were a powerhouse.

I look at a lot of these kids, remember some of the signs or outright ripper games they've demonstrated (even Dow, we remember his Judd-like running goal last year), and I imagine them in a well drilled good team like the Cats or Hawks.

They'd be phenomenal. We're not only coach killers, we're probably player killers too.
Unfortunately due to our circumstances all 3 have been gifted games when they have t deserved them.
Chooks are coming home to roost now.
