Without the senior players we'd be a rabble? I think one thing today's game is going to prove is that Woosha can no longer rely on our senior players to win a game.

We didn't have a lot of choice today, though, I doubt Swift was voluntarily dropped and Shuey and Masten are out injured. Stevens and Weedon aren't ready and Smith probably needs a little more time in the WAFL.

Please retire Embley :(

Without the senior players we'd be a rabble for the rest of the year. Woosha is trying to protect the kids from thrashings but what's the point? We are a wooden spoon side with no shuey masten kerr and selwood.

If Woosha is trying to protect the kids from a thrashing then its not working today!

Starting Mckenzie on Reiwoldt????? Surely Schofield was the only option with his jumping & pace advantage over Mckenzie!

Hope Richmond put their foot on our throat in the 2nd half. Might be the wake up call the club needs to actually make some decisions that should have been made earlier.

Has it occurred to anyone that we are missing all of our midfielders that have a modicum of skill and pace. Still flipping pathetic but there are mitigating circumstances. Our best midfielders are B grade and the mob running around today are C grade. Mitch Brown hasn't come on and has just become one of spuds we rotate through full forward. Time to stick Notte in the FF rotation, can't be any worse than the clowns that have played there so far this year.

Right so please line up all the people who defended the inclusions of Nicoski, Bones and co at the selection table? Another game lost through a conservative selection meeting and playing the same old tired hacks who offer the side nothing. Let's be honest, the following players aren't AFL standard either any more or at all

Embley - any danger he can hit a target by foot?
Wilkes - Counted us 4 goals he cost us in that first half through either turnovers or stupid play
Nicoski - Doesn't offer the side line breaking pace or a reliable kick any more
Bones - hasn't been the worse today, but needs to go for the sake of the team
Dalziell - Mixed bag disposal, the new Rowan Jones without any of the one percenters or link play

And serious questions need to be asked about the potential of some our kids, namely
Ebert - Too slow and poor disposal
S.Selwood - Can shutdown an opponent and offers nothing going the other way
Mcginnity - See above
He is far from the worst and a decent wingman. Ebert needs to be put on the table. Is far too slow for a player who runs into space so much. Nicoski and Jones unbelievable. Why are Stevens and Strijk not getting a game? Sheppard has been ordinary as well. The less said about Embley the better.

Woosha should make a statement but making 7 changes next week (seriously). This is rubbish and the players who actually want to play (who are stuck in the WAFL) I talk about Stevens, Smith, Stirkj (he can be elevated now) keep getting snubbed of a spot because they still need to earn their strips. Well I say these players that have been with us all this year who have under performed, we all know who they are have losted their strips in my point of view and need to **** off and go an earn them again.

Out: Everyone
In: Everyone in the WAFL whose surname begins with an S.

No, he's a very ordinary player who's done little today, Scott Selwood as a #22 draft pick is a recruiting blunder and example of the nepotism that pervades the club.

The thing is about the kids/ recruiting blunders, is that just maybe it aint so much the kids but the club they have landed at. At the moment, there really isn't much onfield leaders, we apparently can't teach skills at all, no direction at all.

We have way too many kids that have gone backwards since they have come to club, for it all be down to recruitment.

What complete shit. How does a team that pushed Geelong to the edge last week dish up this crap the very next. Our mids are slow and have no spread, we appear to be going man on man in the backline and our forwards can't take a mark to save their lives. Who thought it would be a good idea to replace two of our starting midfielders this year with a back pocket and a HFF? If Swift isn't injured then Woosh can GTFO.
This. is. pathetic.

Does this feel like rock bottom to anyone else?

yep, completely embarrassed by this "effort".....too many gutless players, terrible team selection, no coaching ability at all to stop the run, so called senior players kept in but they dont lift when needed..

been a Woosha fan for a long time but the jig is up now...

on a positive note, the only way is up from here....

Without the senior players we'd be a rabble for the rest of the year. Woosha is trying to protect the kids from thrashings but what's the point? We are a wooden spoon side with no shuey masten kerr and selwood.

Which senior players are preventing us from thrashings?

Glass and Kerr? Not playing.

Embley? Adam Selwood? Lynch? Jones?

Cox has been alright, but the side is being held together mainly by sub-100 gamers.

Kennedy, Rosa, LeCras, Waters, Schofield, Hurn, Priddis have been our most consistent performers this year.

NicNat looks devoid of all confidence and his trademark speed and athleticism is missing. It's been decreasing for some time. He could really do with a run down at Swans. Don't think it would happen however.

The only issue I have with all this doom and gloom is we simply don't have the cattle in the WAFL applying pressure for a spot. Smith has been OK but hardly demanding of a spot. Kobe is being nursed through injury and the rest are plodders. Not a lot of upside in the magoos at the moment.

I really hope Nottey can bag another 4 or so today. He's the type of forward we're screaming out for.

NicNat is barely playing as the starting centre square ruck man and he is forced to play across half forward and chase everywhere much of the game. His legs get drained AND we don't use him to best affect.

His form drop has coincided with Cox being played as number 1 ruck. Which would be tolerable if Cox was playing well, but he is playing like a plodder today.

NN needs to be number 1 ruck or we waste his best assets...

It would help if we had ANY offensive mids...

The problem is that some of the mids we have out aren't that good.

Who would you replace those 5 for?

NOBODY is demanding a spot in the WAFL in those positions except Stevens and Houlihan and both are being nursed through injury.

And serious questions need to be asked about the potential of some our kids, namely
Ebert - Too slow and poor disposal
S.Selwood - Can shutdown an opponent and offers nothing going the other way

No questions need to be asked at all. People simply severely overrated them.

We're no hope of winning, teams don't come back from this far down at half time, but if we dont come out breathing fire Worsfold has to go after this game because it'll show he's lost the players. That would mean no more wins for the year, which, in turn, means our first wooden spoon.

only 6 times in the history of VFL/AFL football has a team come back from more than 46 points at half time....so yes think its about respectability now
