I’d say with the impending rain, which starts ramping up here from tomorrow, it wouldn’t be a shock if both Stewart and Smith don’t make the trip.

30-40ml per day Friday and Saturday, with generally means could be up to 100ml. The weather has been crazy up here.

Do you recover from a calf strain within a week?

I'm always more comfortable players returning in wet conditions. The soft turf means not as much jarring or sudden movement placed on the joints.
For a player like Smith, his gut running would be absolutely crucial in a game like this one. Those little one percenters late will be the difference.

I tend to disagree. Less stable footing, siding and losing balance means you take more aggressive actions on the lower body to stabilise.

So I don’t think so necessarily.

I guess we’ll find out soon.

I 'was' planning on heading up there for this game, the rescheduling actually helped for me
But given the weather should I just pull the pin?
Is there any chance of non biblical rain?

Seats are generally covered well. Especially in the higher seats. I don’t think it will be significant, but steady rain most of the day with a possible heavy downpour at times.

The forecast has changed a number of times, from 60ml to 30 to 70 for Saturday night during this week. So anything could happen, but if sitting nice and high, you’ll be fine

I do appreciate the confidence of a lot of posters going into this game, I just wish I shared it. Would love to be surprised
Agreed.
Looking at those likely missing this week, and our very average MF - including rucks, I can't foresee Brisbane dropping this one at home

We should get smashed. If we get close, Brisbane screwed up.

Why should we get smashed?

Did you watch Brisbane's first half against WCE last week - what's to say that they won't have a sluggish start m again this week

Wasn't it more that he's got some pretty major psychological demons?

In terms of having to be convinced to play, and that even being "sore" - like 99% of players would be - is a stretch too far?

I don't know tbh.

There's a rumour about disciplinary action.

Yeah, seen that. Who knows really.

It's the same as the rumours of him not exactly being well liked by people at the club for mine.

He's a pretty easy target with his personality, brand, and prior indiscretions that it's all going to sound plausible to an audience, regardless if it's actually true or not.

I'd hope not, but as we've seen in recent times, much crazier things can happen than that unfortunately.

Thing is if we come to Brisbane I'd prefer to not sit in a hotel room outside of attending the match
10-20mm is one thing, 50+ is insane!

Brisbane have been far far from impressive this season.

And they might suffer the same issue we had against the Saints.

I wonder if the hot weather V Freo affected us V Saints, and the Lions had to play WCE in very hot and shit conditions.
