Ive heard this story before. Like every recruiter claiming that a 3rd rounder was rated as a 1st.

Its always felt a bit apocryphal to me.

He’s a genuine gun with skill, speed and tackle breaking ability. Not to mention he knows where the goals are.

Seems like a hard working grinder with an ok skill set to me.

He’s the future of our engine room and has to be getting games, especially when he’s absolutely dominating the VFL.

Thats a lot of weight to foist upon a guy who has been on the list for 3 full seasons (the first was clearly a mulligan) and played a total of 20 games.

He deserves a call up, especially in the absence of Libba. However, my issue is whether his game will translate at the higher level.

As always I'll be the happiest guy here if he makes me eat my words.

We shall see.

We have a large body of evidence of Bevo thinking he is the smartest guy in the room only to be shown he makes rash selections, picking favourites who are underdone, and the dods have had poor tactics and games plans, eg against the dee's and cats.
We have poor defensive set ups and we have a stupid game plan of just dumping the ball into the fwd line, a small fwd who flies for everything instead of staying down and trying to get the crumbs off Marra and astro.
I have no idea what Croft will bring to the table but for the hefty price of 3 1st round picks I hope Sanders and Croft are worth it.
