COLLINGWOOD v CARLTON

9 Matthew Kreuzer (Carl)
9 Sam Petrevski-Seton (Carl)
6 Marc Murphy (Carl)
4 Caleb Marchbank (Carl)
1 Taylor Adams (Coll)
1 Ben Reid (Coll)

How Ed didn't get a look in..........???????
Bolts must have given Adams a vote for setting up about half of our goals.

Thomas playing in a side that is playing well and winning might be something that makes him a better player. He was a good player at Collingwood and didn't play in many weak sides where he has only played in weak sides as a Carlton player, as that changes so may he, I guess we'll see.

He adds value to our side for sure, he's vocal and knows what he's doing out there even if he can't do everything he used to. He's still good for 20 Plus possessions and the odd goal and he does seem to run both ways a bit.

I am now unsure who has the worst youth in the league. I thought it was the Hawks but now I am thinking the Pies are worse.
The Pies have now recruited so many undersized, unskilled, hard at plodders there is nothing to be excited about on their list. They need someone to come in and clean out the list and look at trading Reid and Sidebottom, the only 2 players that would potentially have any real currency.

They have drafted and traded very poorly over the last 5 years or so. Reminiscent of our recruiting under Hughes.

I can't think of any youngsters they have drafted in the last 5 years who are impressive and making positive contributions to their team like Marchbank & SPS.

They really screwed up by picking Freeman & Scharenberg, Moore is having a really poor season, the likes of Maynard, Thomas, Phillips are all below average.

Maybe they weren't Educated.

Takes a step outside to clear the mess from his head and think long and hard about his life.

Obviously the Daisy goal was an amazing moment, but Gibbs' goal regardless of what you think of the dude was an absolute belter. He had no right to be able to straighten up and steady it through like that in that motion considering the side of his body he was on.

I Know, if only he'd do that stuff more often, but credit where it's due.

Such an important win for the CFC.
I think it did a lot of things that weren't quite 'done' the week before.

1. Marketing: Huge leg up given the hype for the game, leading in. Those sitting on the fence may have got off it.
2. Rising Star: The fact that we've reeled one in two consecutive weeks out a spotlight on our youth and our club.
3. To beat Collingwood is a big ticket item, but to beat them on a day they celebrate only once every 25 years....priceless.
4. ASilvagni: Proven himself now and has taken so much heat off the young guys, allowing Marchbank, Macreadie and co. better development.
5. The team: All the guys are now believing they're worthy. You can see it.
6. The coach: Received good backing after the Port disaster and has paid back that faith.
7. The club: If there were any doubts internally about our 'roadmap', you'd think all would now be on board.

Maybe a lot of little things and it was only one game but it was an important game and all the little things add up.

Good old Mongo on FC put the win down to great coaching of an inferior list. Still struggles to see what is clear as day. Pies are big ordinary. Not alone Timmy thought the pies were finals bound are beating the mediocre cats.

never heard a crowd roar a baulk like that before.......
How was the roar for Plowman's defensive efforts in the one on one running onto the loose ball in d50?
Glad the crowd gave him some recognition on that play.
