Would depend on how much damage the apparent head high contact caused Matt & whether the player on the receiving end was able to continue on with the game. I agree with JB though, the contact does look to be to the head & it looks for all intents & purposes to be at the higher end of reckless to say the least.
Oh & we still don't know for a fact if Mr Harrison has a history of indiscretion. That should & would certainly compound any sanction metered out.

I am one of his best mates and he has only been reported once before in his career, he has played 250 senior games and also pleaded guilty to this as he knew he made contact with the head he didn't leave the ground but that's how it ended up he will cop his whack and hopefully come back and put a few on the board for the blues

Hi all,

I'm Jarrad Carey, the new senior coach at Kilmore. Thought I would clear a few things up, given we seem to be the talk of the BigFooty town at the minute!

Firstly on Harro... the report and suspension has been done to death. He pleaded guilty and copped 8 weeks. Maybe he was unlucky, maybe he wasn't. The suspension was only the second time he has ever been reported in his entire football career (which includes more than 200 A grade games, a Division One premiership, best and fairest and goalkicking awards, Vic Metro U/18 captain, etc). So please, just leave it be now.

Our expectations in 2014... simply to be competitive. We haven't set a benchmark in terms of wins. I can assure you that we are not expecting to come in and be instant finalists. Yes we have picked up some very handy players but we are a young group who will improve each week. I will say that one of our biggest aims is to have fun.... and the best way to have fun on a footy field is to win!!

And to finish on a positive note.... Nick Sheldon agreed to terms during the week, despite strong interest from Seymour. Says a fair bit about his character, along with Alex Desmond and plenty of others in Blue.

Keep up the great banter gang!!

GO BLUES!!!

Tagmein do you reckon you thugs can win it?? Quick get ready for throw off lines and non commited tripe:eek: Give us your ladder while your at it.

King you love to go fishing don't you , no bites from my behalf and there's no point me putting up a ladder prediction cause I know hardly anything about the other clubs

Doons has amazing game stratergies and brilliant training ideas. Should be the interleague coach! :)

You're losing what credibility you had very quickly KING with crap like this :(

G'day Doon, I know you put your hand up for an assistant coach's position, what is your roll next year, seniors or reserves?

Sadly mate nothing. You're right, once it was obvious I wouldn't be coaching Kilmore I had put up my hand to join another RDFL club in an assistant role (which I mentioned at our break-up night) but no sooner had I committed to the coach, the job was gone when he got the Lemonade and Sarss that week. I guess after that, on top of the way my year ended behind the scenes at Kilmore it's fair to say I was left a bit disenchanted with it all.

Me young bloke starts his footy career this year, so when a couple from our juniors asked if I'd join I jumped on their committee as I still want to be a contributor to our local footy scene in Kilmore. I also hope to still give Beats a chop out wherever he needs as I value the friendship we've built since meeting in 2009. Will try and get around to watch as many guys play who I have coached or had an involvement with over the past 12-13 years, catch some VFL footy and a few more Pies games at the G ;)

Ok, I thought you were involved in some way, I know that Romsey were chasing you and I understand the traveling would take up more of your time away from the family. Sounds like a good plan as I think the Pies will be flying this year, I will have to join you at the G.

not too much faith shown for the mighty macedon cats there omni lol. Is there something happening at the cattery that I dont know about? Surely they couldnt slip that far......

great to see the riddell confidence back and oozing. Undefeated your predicting? I also see that the annual banter about kilmore and two neighbouring clubs has once again commenced. January superstars...... lol

Go through the draw pal. (I did !)
Every team has 16 games this season.
Macedons draw although on the surface of it looks pretty soft once again. I mean, they only play Riddell, Diggers Rest & Rupertswood (who I believe will be the big improvers this season) ONCE for the whole season.....& all at home at the Cattery. Realistically do you think they will win ANY of these games pal ???......I don't think so !
They play Sunbury & your side Romsey twice. Do you think they will pick up a win outa those four games ? Not likely I would think !
There's 7 games without a win !
They play Melton, Rockbank & Wallan ALL away from home. All these sides beat them last season, & I see NO real reason why that wont happen again !
That makes 10 games............without a win.
They play Kilmore up at Kilmore in round three. a tough ask IF Kilmore have indeed improved. As they come up against Kilmore twice in 2014 I reckon I will give them one each !
That's 11/1 !
They play Broadford up at Broadford in round 11. If Barry plays you would think it would be very very hard for them to get a victory up there. Especially as I see them only having two or possibly three wins on the board to that point !
12/1 !
Round 6 sees them take on Lancefield at home at the Tony Clarke. I will give them the points there, although the Tigers are no push overs, as Diggers found out last season !
12/2.
And so......... Thank God for the Cats they play Woodend twice !
That's 4 wins pal & 12 losses ! Maybe they can get too 10 & 6 if Big Bazza doesn't take the field & ALL the talk at Kilmore is just that.....Talk !

There is also the OTHER variable perhaps mate ???......& that is that the Cats may have actually improved !!!....... Unfortunately, that's unlikely I would think given their recent history (Decade long !) of "Treading Water" & the calibre of their "Football" administrator. I reckon they are the St Kilda of the RDFL...........only worse ! :(

What do you reckon mate, do you see them beating your lot or Sunbury ?

Massive signing for Broadford with the recruitment of Steven Boyle. Absolute gun. Highly rated and regarded in EDFL circles.

So when's the name change coming to Melton District?

you have done your homework omni. Well we are just in a rebuilding phase at romsey so we will take it one game at a time hahaha. Sounds like broadford will be riddells biggest opposition at this early stage with 20 or so superstars signed up. When u did all this homework omni didnt u see any side capable of beating your mob or are riddell just streets ahead??? Clearences open soon which will be a very very interesting time. See who has delivered and who is full of sh1t!!!!!!

Well you do realise mate it is still very very early at this stage & ALL I am basing my hypotheses's's's's's on is LAST seasons form line of course.........& any departures or retirements I have heard of. Having said that -
I don't think ANY side in the Comp' is "streets" ahead.....I hope not !
Riddell (Last seasons Premiers !) have lost only ONE player, Mickey Allen due to retirement. And whilst I'm on the subject, I'd like to congratulate Mick on a wonderful career with the Bombers. FOUR senior Premierships & a couple of century goal kicking seasons aint a bad return for the little bloke at the Bombers ! Well done Mick,.......I wont soon forget the day a few years ago he kicked 9 goals one in the first quarter against the Sunbury Kangaroos at Riddell from a pocket alongside of the one & only L. James !
He just had the ball on a string !

Anyway, Riddell have lost one & gained a couple..........Of quality !
Riddell only lost ONE home & away game last season, & that was to Diggers Rest at Diggers Rest.
They DONT play Diggers at Diggers this coming season ! So that makes their biggest challenge in 2014 the round 7 clash at home against the Burra. Admittedly last seasons corresponding match was a toss of the coin tussle with the Bombers getting up by 5 pts. But they DID win ! So its hardly conceited of me pal to give the home side another victory in round seven this season.
Ok then, Romsey. Riddell played your blokes twice in 2013 - round 13 - Riddell 15. 10. 100. def' Romsey 6. 8. 44. & Semi-Final - Riddell 20. 14. 134. def' Romsey 5. 9. 39. Thats an average losing margin of 75.5pts pal ! So excuse me for not tipping your blokes to upset the Bombers !
Only played Rupo' the once last year, in round 8 - Riddell 19. 11. 125. def' Rupertswood 5. 11. 41......That's an 84pt loss ! Cant pick them to reverse that & beat the Bombers surely ???
Sunbury - well Riddell played the Roos 3 times in 2013 for 3 victories & an average winning margin of 48pts. Hardly instilling confidence that they can cause an upset this season pal ???
Actually Mongrel outa my predicted top six (excluding Diggers) Melton were the MOST impressive performing side against the Bombers in 2013 only going down by 35pts. But that too is NOT enough for me to select them to cause an upset in their two encounters with Riddell in 2014 either pal.

Oh & by the way pal before you go pointing the finger or anything.
ALL this is definitely NOT over confidence or cockiness..............Just supposition based on all the available MOST recent FORM lines, LOGIC & FACTS. :)

it was only a question old mate and there will be no finger pointing by me. However u sound more like bruce mcarvaney with OLD stats than a man with his finger on the pulse.lol. history is history and I beleive all clubs start with a fresh opportunity to chase the flag with every new season. Life and footy would be horribly boring if history repeated itself year in year out as u claim. I watched riddell at diggers last year and they were terrible, and brent tuckey almost beat them in the gf by himself. God knows if he hadnt of passed it so much history may have been showing diggers with the cup. However I also look at the fact that riddell only needed 1 quater of their best to win that game so I say it was definately theirs to receive. Im just glad to be involved again old mate and I beleive our grest league is going to go ahead in leaps and bounds this year. I only hope our neighbouring leagues take note of what a great league is all about

You make some very sound points there pal. I actually thought Diggers was the best side last season & whats more I said just so on here on a number of occasions. That's probably what makes some Premierships all the more sweeter I guess ! When a side can somehow get the victory when they are obviously not the best side on paper in the contest.

I must say I am a little perplexed by your final comment there pal, cause I couldn't give a flying f*** what ANY neighbouring league thinks !!!.......Never have !

Wild Bill, any truth to the rumours I have heard a few of the Gisborne boys may be crossing to the Bombers?

Any news on who the new senior coach at rockbank is yet? IMS you must be the leading candidate I am guessing. Can u confirm pal????? :thumbsu:

Unfortunately with a new job that requires far too much travel I couldn't consider the role.

Robbie Lynch will coach the Rams in 2014.

I don't think going out and having fun should be one of Kilmores biggest aims. I'm sorry but I think there is to much emphasis on "FUN" throughout the whole club, juniors included.
Clubs that project the culture of fun attract players who want to play and not show 100% commitment (and get paid).
Serious clubs don't do that.
This is just my opinion and I fully understand the situation a Kilmore coach would be in.
