Firstly if I'm wrong I will it on the chin, just have heard you told a certain pres you were danger6, I dont have anything against rex Hickman nor have I ever bagged him on here, and I'm not a Melton supporter I just know alot of people at central's !!!
I was just stating that if you sign a contract
you stick to it or you sit the rest of the year out, plain and simple..
Players these days sign contracts and try and screw the clubs and good on centrals if they don't clear him.

I admit rex is a very good player, I seen him afew weeks ago against diggers and was clearly centrals best player no doubting he can play.
Anyway talking footy watched Macedon and Sunbury, the score flattered Sunbury in the end, when the heat was on Macedon was clearly the best side, Macedon rested a few in the last quarter and clearly took the foot of the pedal, Harrison, number 24(young fella at CHF) were very good and also 13 was excellent on the wing.

Excuse my ignorance Keston
But you have said on here that you are no longer involved at Broadford
Yet you still seem to comment on their club.
I'm sure the Broadford faithful would rather you don't make statements that you have heard on the 'Grape Vine' because the 'Grape Vine' never lies hey.
At our club we sanction clowns like you.
And by the way
Possibly these are the reasons you no longer at Roo Land, because you can't keep your trap shut....
Just an outside observation !!!!
I tend to agree with some of your comments due to the fact that alot of people like myself read bf but dont comment as it turns into a slanging match. Also i dont think people put to much thought into what they say and how harmful it can be to individuals and clubs that may be having problems.Im sure if clubs wanted their good and dirty washing hung out to dry they would be on this site telling everyone themselves. It would be interesting to hear from the clubs involved if any of these comments were told in confidentiality. It might be a football forum but common sense should prevail and certain aspects of maybes should be left alone.

Very very dark day when a side gets beaten by 300 plus points.
Yes rockbank may have some good people around the club , but the absolute floggings they are copping this year will set them back even further.
Its impossible to attract players to a club that consistantly is on the receiving end of massive hidings.
Unless they find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow real quick i can actually see them not being around in the very near future.

Maybe they need to move to WRFL div3 or EDFL div3 to have some success..

Good morning everyone. My name is Stewart Hickman. Apparently you all know who I am.....apparently.
For the people who don't know let me enlighten you. I am 58 years old (59 in November this year), married since 1983, have 4 kids (1 dec) have lived in the same house that my wife and I built in 1985, have a accounting and economics degree....I don't go under any alias names and I was alerted to this post by a friend who is "social media" savvy....I am not. So Mr smackers3 I suggest that you stop writing your crap on public forums under the protection of an alias name. If you would like to discuss I am sure that you know where I am 5 nights a week plus 3 mornings at 5:45am....sorry to all members of this forum and especially Danger6 who has been accused of identity theft. I hope you all enjoy your football this week and weeks to come....smackers3....you will probably move on to write more garbage.

Hahahahaha, gold..... 'I was alerted to this post by a friend who is 'social media savvy'....
Please.... How many alias' do you want.... Got absolutely zero interest in the topic your writing about but one of the bests attempts at a cover up I've seen for a while.... Keep it up... Haha

As I said I don't have any alias names....no need to hide behind an alias and if you don't have any interest in the topic why waste your valuable time commenting.

I agree totally
Not a good look for the league with a young side being walloped like that
Chin up Rockbank
A few sides brought back to earth this week
Sunbury by a dominant Macedon
Wallan by a rampaging Riddell
Melton by a born again Broadford
Woodend by a so called down and out Romsey
Interesting times ahead

Absolute rubbish not requiring any further response :)

Wallan by a rampaging Riddell

Pretty disappointing result. Completely different side away from home.

Riddell were good, but I'm not sure how much more than Macedon. A few gifted goals from some very soft 50s and the ball just seemed to bounce their way most of the day.

They've got some good kids who they used very well too and they were pretty quick and skillful on a wet track. Pretty fair to say we've got a bit to do before next week.

Was very surprised with the margin as Wallan beat Sunbury kangaroos thought they would have really given Riddell a run for there money. Also surprised at Broadfords margin anyone at that game that can give a bit of a run down.

Diggers Macedon riddell broadford and now things are settling ruppo and Sunbury to round out the 6

Pretty damaging result Mel, 2 questions was Wallan just flat? And what would the result of been if dry?

Flat for sure despite an ok start. Was weird because we were so good against Sunbury, but a few decisions went against us and we dropped off.

A question for those who have been around the league for a while. We got out on to the ground first and started our preparations for the game at one end of the ground. About 3 minutes later Riddell decided to enter the field and immediately decided to join us at the same end. Now I thought it was pretty pathetic and somewhat childish, but we were told by the umpires in no uncertain terms that we had to move to the other end. Apparently there's some rule about it which struck me as kind of odd, but probably not all that surprising. My question is, seriously? Seems incredibly pedantic.

Could be wrong, didn't see it but I would say that maybe wallan have done it as a tactic to put Riddell off their game early? I reckon everyone on here could tell you what end to warm up at each ground in the league as an away side!! Good tactic tho Auckmel.... Like it... Not sure it worked tho...

While I don't play in the rdfl but as captain of my side, when the opposition has gone to one end first I'll always make sure our boys end up at the opposite goal square

Just seems like the right thing to do... Avoids any potential confrontations and petty crap

Last 3 games have a combined total losing points margin of nearly 700 points !
In those 3 games they have only managed to kick 2 goals.
I agree there are probably some very hard working people busting their gut behind the scenes , but it must be very disheartening for those people to see such woefull results from the football department side of things.

Pretty sure it wasn't a tactic, but more about being first on the ground. Anyway, was just curious if it's some kind of unwritten rule.

AuckMel - I hate to say it but it is in the rules as to which end you go to for a warm up. You actually have to go the the end that you come out of from the rooms- normally the same end as you coach.
Hickman to be cleared before the 30th June if something can be worked out between Broadford and Centrals as to his Contract he has signed for two years.
The points system is now making the coaches think about selection and everyones local talent is starting to see the rewards. The question I have is if some of the Senior players running around in the twos still get paid as a Senior player if they are doing a rotation system to keep the points under the cap. Club recruiting now becomes more important than ever with the points system now in play.
The only thing about the point system I find hard to understand is the discrepancy of points. I understand the lower clubs need help but surely if you finish in the top 1/4 - same points , 5/9 extra point, 9 till last extra again. I know you will all say it has to do with the strength of your juniors but Diggers have made it to the Grand Final of number of times in the last ten years with their Juniors struggling at times.

The challenge with the points system is really about where you are positioned the year it came in and there was no right or wrong year to bring it in. So Diggers which everyone seems to get dirty upon were up the top with a strong list, they still had to shred some players to get new talent in, v Rockbank / centrals who are down the bottom. So to get back to the top and be competitive you cannot wait 10 years for your juniors to come through and those that believe you can have not been involved in local footy long enough. You have to recruit some talent in, the right talent yes, smart recruiting yes, but to get top end talent say for a Rockbank to improve now, they would exceed the points very quickly to have a team that probably sits 7-9, then you rely on those guys sticking around for 3 or 4 years to lower their point value so you can recruit more in. In my opinion it aint gonna happen. In Diggers case, they just don't have the juniors to come through YET, so if everyone wants diggers to sit at the bottom penalise them. Points should be on your ability to attract junior players through your system, and those areas with very small population or limited juniors should be given concessions. What you do with the list once you have it (development and performance) is great by your club, but you should not be penalised for it. Issue the Rams will have going forward is there are 20 clubs within 10 minutes who are all competitive, so without money, without extra points, good luck trying to get players to believe in a 3 year build. Again, no disrespect to the people of the Rams who are giving their all to keep the club afloat, just shows they are fighting against the odds and until they can be competitive they will sit in this position in my opinion.

I heard last night my club knocked back thousands of dollars to clear Hickman to Broadford! They have taken the moral high ground so they can beat their chests and walk around with the big head wobble . Clubs are working so hard to generate income these days not to mention all the time and effort a lot of volunteers including myself put in . To turn down this sort of money to feed a couple of egos is an absolute disgrace! I will never pay for a membership or help the club again should I find this to be fact . Also I spoke with a sponsor last night who told me if this is true the will never sponsor the club again .Totally disappointed!
