All I am saying that the smarter clubs will look at other means to secure recruits. It's not always the cash you get after a game on Thursday which helps you the most.

Many of these lads aren't Rhodes Scholars so a package deal offsets their IQ. The real winners are the players who do well on and off the field. Nonetheless we do have a few bright sparks.

Yes spoke to Josh pound the other week and he said he would be leaving broadford due to a couple of reasons . Great bloke who is a bonus to any club

A/ he and the other players have been paid
B/ from what he has told me he has been promoted with the Western Bulldogs and may not be able to play all games

Well cleared up Skip n good to hear.Gotta say plenty of gossip around atm much of which im sure is untrue.
As for those criticising Diggers it surprises me as im sure other clubs like to be able recruit the quality they have.Some very jelous people it seems.I think its great that ex afl players come to the comp regardless of who they play for just so long as they are good role models and leaders for the young fellas to follow.
So when at Romsey you disagreed with recruiting Farmer?When at Roos you didnt want Holland Robbo nor Piaccone?Come on Keston whilst some may be paid too much $$$ I don't blame the players.Surely any player should be able to wherever they wish?

Your original post said all clubs end up playing players. When. Challenged you have not been on the exec where these decisons are .... made in other words you have no idea.

Had it confirmed Jess Davies from Craigieburn is training with the club and an ex EDFL ruckman, but that's about it that I know of.
