Looks like riddell will be right in the hunt again with Paul Sahlberg, Peter Robertson returning premiership stars and former VFL coburg listed player Dylan Tarczon. With Robertson and Sahlberg 1 pointers costing them nothing its 3 great recruits to start off 2018.

With talk about him looking to come home , u would think Romsey may be keen to talk to Tyson about a return? Played seniors at Gisborne whilst playing at Calder, looked a fair player.

Be silly to return from SANFL to district footy at his age, give it everything while the opportunity and doors are ajar, can always come home by rarely do u get a second crack at genuine levels of football.

He only played 9 games in the SANFL, not sure he was carving it up given never in the best at all, I imagine being the brother of may have helped. Not sure he is that far above RDFL Std Doona?

I'll take your word that, admittedly haven't seen him play this year but did a fair bit prior.
It Doesn't mean you chuck it in, he's a cracking kid who over the past 2-3 years woulda learnt a fair bit so if both boys venture back to Victoria I'd be extremely surprised if at his age young Tyson chose to lob back in the RDFL.

Plenty of time for that

Point taken, however Dick, Hetherington and Langford albeit that bit older all lobbed in the RDFL off the back of better credentials and from similar state comps. Dick got delisted by Carlton and played his next game as a Macedon Cat @ 22, same with Langford @ Diggers from Hawthorn, so stranger things can happen.

Why ??? When that doesn't workout make U/21s. It's been U/18•5s for the last 17 years, the only thing that will hurt will be the seconds for every club.

Odd age groups in the juniors so maintains 2 and a half years

Woulda made it tough on some clubs getting 3rds in 2018 if going to 17s meant not as many rolled thru to 18.5's

Any kid worth his salt is playing against grown men be it 1's or 2's by the time his 19, but if it keeps a few other young blokes involved and around clubs it cant be a bad thing, as let's be honest some of the alternate social options at present are great

Boof missed a lot of the year with injury including the back half.. AC joint injury

What's with all these media outlets e.g RDFL Facebook page, local papers and Macedon Cats Facebook page going on about it's the Cats first premiership in 41 years. Well it's the Macedon Cats first ever premiership, Macedon football club last won a premiership 41 years ago and this club is no more full stop.

U19.5 next year I heard. Thoughts?

If it keeps a few young fellas playing for longer it can only be a good thing.

Not all senior Rdfl clubs have juniors in the Rdfl such as Wallan and Broadford for instance and age groups don’t necessarily align with Rdfl age groups
