See mate, the move might be a good idea, due to my obvious bias that I am continually accused of, you would slot straight into this lineup.. If you were a Kangaroo... ;)

HB - Romeril (Rom), Sheppard (WH), Wright (M)
C - D.Hannan (DR), Harrison (Rom), Fleming (Rid)

I don't know that I'd get a game in your 1st side though, it's hard to make team of the year playing in the 2's.:D

How do you see your boys this weekend against the Hawks? Last two contests: Kangas by 13 points round 6; Hawks by 17 points round 15. Should be a cracker. Where will it be won? Who will stand up for the Kangas and kick the goals? Who will keep the opposition quiet in defence. Some hard hitting questions for you!!

Looks as though coaches have got it pretty spot on! Always will be blokes unlucky not to make it. On what grounds do the coaches choose the captain for the team?

I think you would make our side Harry.. Have no doubt about it.

This week, you will have to wait until Sunday to see ;)

Would rather have seen Underwood win it, played just about every game and didn't see him beaten, even when Diggers were struggling in the first half of the year he held the backline together when Jeremy wasn't around! Granted Jose had a stellar second half of the season, but for mine Underwood was better value over the year. Cant help but think these awards and teams of the year are picked more on reputation rather than performance at times. Did Underwood even finish in the Top 3??

1st Jose
2nd Heritage
3rd Janner
4th Ruane
5th Sims

Thanks for that, I guess we are all entitled to our opinion, but I saw 90% of their games this season and I had Underwood, Sims & Jose as my best 3 with Janner just behind them...Reilly would have rounded out my Top 5......

Not a bad finish for the Burra. I personally wouldn't have had Ruane in the top 5, obviously he does the 1 % ers and the little things that opposition players don't see. If he came fourth, he must have deserved it. Sims is a bit stiff to finish 5th:confused: I would have thought he'd either win it or finish runner up. They rely on him so much and he delivers consistantly.

Just an outsiders observation.:thumbsu:

I saw the Burra on three occassions this season and thought their best players in those games were (in this order) Janner, Sims, Ruane, Heritage and the small bloke Walshe.

hahaha..youve done pretty well.
only found two things wrong.
why on earth is paul crimmins in the ruck. he is only just 6 foot. hes a midfielder if anything.
and you would hvae to find a spot for ricky elliot.

Matt obviously plenty of money for Sunbry in the 18's what are the new odds? I am sure they would be favorites now.

Where did you get your information from HFF? Cos it's spot on, there has been a huge betting plunge, two punters have placed $100 on the Roos to win. Sunbury are now hot favourites to win the 18s elimination final. No money for the Cats. :D

Latest odds Sunbury Kangaroos $1.45 v Macedon $2.20

Yeah with this I would love to see them read out the persons name who give the votes as well as who got the votes. how often you see a person not rated by some and get bog by another.

A Romsey perspective on this, as I have been advised, because I didn't see the incident, was after the final siren had gone, all players and coaches were shaking hands. One particular Hawks player wouldn't shake the hand of an official. He was then refered to as a "weak ......" such and such. He was then alleged to have charged at the official, who turned and used his body to stop the player. The player then hit the ground. All of the other players then rushed over (which we would all do if we found ourselves in that situation), a scuffle broke out, a relation to a senior Hawks footballer was then alleged to have entered the field to challenge a Romsey player and he was promptly convinced by that said player, that he had indeed made the wrong decision.

As I understand it, the club is dealing with the incident. I don't know the particular details about how it is being dealt with. Hope that sheds some light.

Thanks Harry, a different slant thats for sure. Would love to hear Woody07 thoughts on this one. Big difference between turning around & using your body to deliberately whacking a bloke.
I presume its going no further if the club has taken action?

Can I ask, do any clubs have a voting system that is fair? Who has ideas on how to get a more accurate way of deciding who your clubs best and fairest should be. You will always get voters that expect more of somebody even if they are clearly best on the day, or may favour somebody because he played better than usual but still wasn't in the top 3 or 5. Some always look at players with reputations. I have seen some very odd vote counts.

Damn it... There must have been a leak of information...

I will have to announce it now then.

I would like to announce that after exhaustive attempts and deep contract negotiations, the Sunbury Kangaroos have employed a new Under 18's assistant coach, a man that has an extensive knowledge of local football and will become my new eyes and ears come this Saturday morning at Gilbert Gordon.

I am extremely pleased to announce OMNI as the SKFC Under 18's assistant coach for the remainder of 2007. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Very good point.. Ricky should definitely be in the side, as for Crimmins, I seen him ruck in the interleague game Im sure.. But Jay Boyle could easily go into the ruck and push Crimmins to CHF.

My tips for this week are:
SENIORS - Woodend/Hesket by 10 points and Romsey by 7 points.
RESERVES - Sunbury Kangaroos by 25 points and Romsey by 2 points.
UNDER 18 - Macedon in extra time by 6 points and Romsey by 30 points.

thanks matthew we just love it when you back against diggers and in both grades :thumbsu:
