After watching game last week between 2 sides i like to follow (2 teams on the calder) i predict Hawks to rebound well against Diggers at home this week & win by about 27 points. Cats to scrape home over talented Romsey team by 4 points.
Sunbury will knock over Kilmore at home by 13, Wallan will get on board with 25 point win over Broadford, Rockbank off to best start in history when they beat Centrals by 34 & riddell to remind Lancefield how far they still have to go with a crushing 10 goals win.

My picks for thsi week matches-
Woodsy to beat Diggers by 48 in the wet. Cooky to get 6
Sunbury to beat Kilmore in a close one by 2 points
Romsey just with a home grond advantage over macedon by 10 points
Ridell by 5 goals over Lanny
Centrals by 6 points over Rockbank
Broadford by one goal over Wallan

Interesting week this week

Sunbury should be too strong at home, 18 points
Woodend's home game, but where is it being played? Could go either way, I'll tip Diggers by 5 pts, but no confidence
Not sure what to make of Broadford or Wallan after round 1. Both teams that were confident of a big year, I'll go Wallan by 12 pts, purely based on HGA
Having seen the Rams first hand last week, I'm tipping them to get on the board against Centrals this week, 23 pts
Macedon started the year with a bang, and I expect them to continue this week, with a 5 goal win over Romsey
And obviously I'm tipping Lancefield to beat Riddell

What a ripper year it's going to be. All 6 games could go either way this week, a great sign for the competition.

Good luck to everyone having a run.

LEST WE FORGET:thumbsu:

Omni’s Tips for Round 2.
(Last round 5, total 5.)

Sunbury to get up at home over Kilmore by 20 pts, just because these are the type of games they have to win if they are to be taken seriously as a contender this season.

Rain tomorrow ???? & Diggers are playing the Hawks at Woodend, no choice here Hoppies boys are a lock ! Burra by 9 pts.

Wallan at home to bounce back in style with a confidence boosting win over Broardford to the tune of 32 pts.

I'd love to pick Rockbank tomorrow, really I would, & good on em for having a red hot crack last week. But they just have to learn how to win before I'll take a punt on the Rams, even at home ! Melton to get their first win for the season by 17 pts.

Although they were not very impressive last week, Riddell at home should just do enough to fall over the line against Lancefield, Bombers by 10 pts.

Macedon to continue rolling along just nicely thank you very much with a handy away win over Romsey by 27 pts.

Good Luck to all Boys, enjoy yourselves & have fun !!! :thumbsu:

can only hope Wallan put in better than last week. Should be good crowd in before reserves finish so get there early.
LEST WE FORGET

Woodned to beat diggers by 6 points
Macedon to beat romsey 10 points
Riddell to show lancefield how far away they still are from them 10 goals
Rockbank and centrals to draw
Broadford and wallan will also draw
while sunbury will beat kilmore in the last 5 minutes.

Hi Guys,

It's been a while. First time I've been on since Sept 08. I should have some more time to post this year.

Harry's Tips:

Woodend over the Burra - 22pts

S/Kangas over Kilmore - 6gls

Riddell by 76pts over Lancefield (the tigers will be sore from last week)

I'll take the rams by a kick over centrals

After watching Broadford last week, their defence won't let Cornish get near it. Broadford by 3 goals

Redbacks by 28pts.

Good luck to all those pulling them on tomorrow.

Harry.

Welcome back champ you've been sorely missed. :thumbsu: ......... you having a run this season ?

OH MY GOD

Can't any of you people read?

Woodend-Hesket's ground has not been affected. It was Woodend Junior Football Club's ground at the old racecourse.

Mind you, would have been good if Gilbert Gordon Oval was covered in asbestos. Then someone with some common sense might FINALLY decide to close the quagmire they call a sporting facility. Rain today? Even if it's 5mm of drizzle the old Gilbert Gordon can't handle it.

As for Gisborne's ground, well the shire have pumped so much Macedon Ranges Shire Council ratepayers' money into recreational facilities in their little hamlet they have plenty of other options for a home ground.

Wouldn't be surprised if MRSC came out and announced a $5.3 million development of Bullengarook's Oval, so Gisborne's stacked E-grade cricket sides had a nice lush outfield and video replay scoreboard.

Good to see the Dragons' McIntyre side finally got up for a win. I think it's the first time they've won in top grade for 17 years or something like that. Just goes to show what happens when you actually concentrate on picking your best first XI.

Could'nt have rained up at Gilbert Gorden I guess.

Good on the Hawks for what looks like a good % boosting win. :thumbsu:

Looks like this seasons Premiership race is a wide open affair.
The team that steps up first could just snatch em selves a Flag.
Maybe Sunbury or could the Mountain Men be building up to something special ????

Blah,Blah,Blah and more sour grapes

Geez, how old is that fella now 37? Good on him though, could certainly teach a few of the younger ruckman a thing or two about playing that position.
What was the game like overall ?
Anyone else care to comment on the other games? Would be interested to hear bout the Wallan V Broady game too.

Wallan got away early but then let Broadford back in the second half. Good tight last quarter with Wallan getting up by the six points after kicking a goal in the last couple of minutes.

Broadford's 32 (Captain I think) stopped Wallan from getting away too far early on and then setting up the comeback.
