With Lancefield about to go under they may need to look to other leagues as clubs drop off. Can anyone from Lancefield confirm a message sent out regarding them not having enough players to field 2 teams in 2011?

It would be disappointing to not have them running around in 2011.
That being said if they do pull out what would happen come finals time?? Are the league able to use their ground for finals??
agree, but the league has in the past used Sunbury Lions ground as a finals venue when they weren't in the league (2001) - Riddell V Woodend. So many questions that will need to be answered... If they are unable to field a side then they wouldn't be able to host the GF, may see us with the first GF where the jobs are tendered out to the clubs.

All happy at Sunbury people. Super numbers on the track with no dramas at all to mention. We also would like to announce the signing of Bendigo Leauge star Dermott Smythe. Dermott a former Robinvale and Sunrasia Leauge young gun has joined the Kangaroos for season 2011. After finishing runner up and just beaten in Strathfieldsaye's B & F last season and going over to play for Nth Adelaide in the SANFL mid year Smythe brings Hardness, skill and great leadership to Sunburys already prime midfield. He also represented the BFL at interleague level the past 2 seasons he is know for his hard at it, fearless attack on the ball and will be a huge bonus for the Kangaroos in thier quest for a premiership in 2011.[/quote
With Helmers and Smythe added to and already more than fair midfield hopefully the Sunbury side can capitalise on their dominant ruck stocks. Another strong option up forward would make them genuine premiership contenders. What is the likely make up of their forward line for 2011, and are there any further recruits on the horizon ?

Surely Deano would plonk himself in the fwd pocket and kick a lazy 50+ goals for the year...pickup the crumbs from meach and co..All happy at Sunbury people. 50 from the champ.. geez i hope your right mate. will be an integral part of our midfield division thats our aim and yeah sure he can rest up forward and play a role there too, he is moving extreemly well and has the boys on their toes and raring to go.

thats good news for kilmoreDale Keenan back at Kilmore trained both nights this week.
Hey, i wasnt trying to knock the bloke, and i'm certainly not saying he can't play - i'm just questioning whether or not he is a "star" of the Bendigo FL.you cant argue with stats my friend

I heard he may not be the only one who started training at Wallan only to return to Kilmore.
