Bit of an overreaction to what Good Result has had to say in here lads... Reckon you've been a bit rough on him connalinko read what he has written again, I think most of it is pretty supportive overall of Romsey etc, some minor opinion clashes, nothing wrong with that.

Just reign it in a little thanks guys..

Cheers :thumbsu:

We have an explosive round of football this weekend guys.. many teams have just three matches remaining in the season to make an impression and secure their place in the top six.. Romsey benefit at this stage of the year because they have one game in hand over everyone else :) What a weekend of football! if Wallan beat Woodend/Hesket.. could they still make the finals?

ya fair enough just thought we could liven it up a bit, as mongrel told me there was only 6 blokes on this site but they all had 12 aliases but i reckon in the last week or so its one of the most read sites going around so thats a positive for this site? but i will cop that just having a joke we knew who it is was from the start?? now he has started Sambookaman:thumbsdown: ....... so lets get back to footy Lanny to make it kills me to say it Romsey to beat Macedon easy,Woodend to beat the pies, diggers over Melton,Roos, over Lanny in a close one,and Broadford in another close one only if BIG BARRY does not play...:footy:

I was told to put this on by the way it took me half hour to work it out just to prove a point that's why I don't have any of this media crap you are wrong
Was alerted to this crap last night and stated you thought it was me!!!
Dig a little deeper I've worked it out !
Disappointed if I was going to point a finger at some one I would approach them and ask first
But that's my style !

I can now happily clear this fallacy up for everyone and confirm that there is only one user here with multiple and excessive amounts of usernames.

But as requested, back to the footy..

This coming weeks hold some huge matchups.

This week Lanny has the chance at it's second big scalp in 3 weeks against the Kangaroos, Wallan has a big chance to keep themselves right in the finals mix, Centrals have to pick up a big scalp and there is none bigger for them than the Burra, ditto Macedon who will be up for the challenge against the Redbacks, whilst Broadford need a couple of results to fall their way, but are still well and truly in the hunt, and will be looking for a big day on Saturday against the Blues.

But it is next week when things will heat up...

Sunbury Vs Romsey (for 3rd spot), Rupo Vs Lancefield, Kilmore Vs Centrals, Riddell Vs Wallan and Macedon Vs Rockbank.

Every game next week has finals implications... Huge week of footy.

Looking at yesterday's teams Romsey still missing a few handy players. Big win by Macedon. Throws the finals race into chaos when teams have unexpected wins. Do Lancefield and Rupo need to pinch a game against a top 4 side to make it now? Melton faces that scenario and must beat Romsey to have a chance.

Gotta beat Kilmore first :D

The twists and turns continue with the Macedon win, makes for an interesting final 3 weeks. I realise that nobody probably gives two $hits but I wanted to praise our reserves players yesterday. I know Romsey last week or the one before scraped up a side, and yesty we were forced to do the same.

At 11.30 we had 14 players, one of the senior boys offered to double up and I ask our two's coach to see if Broadford could play 16 on the park. Couldn't believe when he rang me back to say they wouldn't do it. In turn I said "f**k em forfeit" but when I got there they were playing. Two more senior players put their hand up to help their mates so they could have a game. We pretty much played the second half with 16 and fell a goal or two short. Didn't effect the result of the senior game, although we didn't run the game out to my satisfaction, but it did highlight to me what my young men are prepared to do for their mates.

Broadford had their own woes, Tim Fleming did a hammy although he looked underdone leading up to it. Drew James and Michael Gillard both got carried from the field, as did one of my young fella's (Matty Lazarev) and whilst their seasons are over I was rapt to get SMS' this morning from all saying that things will be ok :thumbsu:

Mathematically the Roos are still in it, but 2 wins (one at Diggers) would also require massive percentage as well to be a chance.

Big week this week, I think only 4 sides have a chance of grabbing the last 2 spots in the finals, Macedon, Lancefield, Rupertswood and Melton. Rupertswood v Lancefield will decide which of the 2 still has a chance, If Rupertswood loose they will have to beat Woodend and Diggers to make it. If Lancefield loose they will need a big win over Riddell to have a chance make it, Macedon are in the box seat, they could loose their remaining 2 games (plus they bye) and still make it unless Melton or Lancefield cause an upset in Rd 17 against Romsey or Riddell respectively.

Final Prediction
Riddell 60
Diggers 56
Sunbury 52
Romsey 44
Macedon 36
Rupertswood 32
Lancefield 28
Melton 28
Broadford 28
Rockbank 24
Wallan 24
Woodend 4
Kilmore 0

That would put Macedon in a rematch with Romsey from last week and a local derby between the 2 Sunbury sides. Very exciting first week of the finals.

Lets make it interesting and say Lancefield wins at Rupo this week, then it perhaps comes down to % after the final round? Melton 28, are you saying they will beat Romsey in their last game?

i bet your glad Barry didn't play doona looking at the scores he might hav had a real day out. another good win by Wallan need to win this week to be a chance but if not its been a pretty good year still

Barry was never playing Cal. Wallan as you say have indeed had a productive year, like most of the sides closer to the bottom they need several key positional types (6'3" +) and as long as the young blokes stick together they'll improve for sure.
