Wallan clearly see a need for bigger bodies and experience going by recruiting.Only saw a few games last season but would of thought youth and speed would of been key focus.A forward line of Stewart (gun)Cloke,Carlisle,Bonello Perri is very slow and predictable.Delivery had want to improve.Along with a few players running out in finals in very poor physical condition surely that wont happen again.
Losing players in their prime and low point value and replacing them with high point and mature imports is an interesting watch.Slow teams will go well in winter but come finals speed and fitness does damage.

Only game I watched was the grand final and I have to agree the physical conditions of some of the Wallan players was an eye opener. Nothing a strong pre season can’t fix

Brining in victor and Haynes from the EDFL is huge for their midfield. Maybe the plan is just get the ball inside 50 and we have the talent to hit the scoreboard. No team will have 5 back man to stop Wallan forward line depth.

Fair points you raised. The GF showed up Perri for leg speed as well I thought. They surely wouldn’t be putting that forward line out (as you mentioned above) as if so it’s very poor leadership/recruitment imo.

If they have Cloke forward then odds would be heavily stacked towards Carlisle going back.

Hi all haven’t watched much rdfnl only got a interest now as a family member has moved clubs to play in this league from edfl premier, by reading the comments on here about its wallans to loose you have to be kiddin me Cloke is 39 and that slow I don’t even know how he would even get a game in a decent team, does wallan not have any juniors comming through? Surley there is better money spent on a younger bloke

I’ll put money up that Bellino, Carlisle and Cloke play the whole season together.

By play the season together, stay on the list until the transfer window closes.

anyone up for it?

Holy crap. One day Carlisle and Bellino are leaving, the next they're playing in the same forward line together. Very confusing.

Not much must be happening at other clubs I guess.
My apologies for having a different opinion to you.I just think both are best suited to deep forward. How about the rest of my comments?Do you agree or head in sand like many others?
I reckon by seasons end $1million plus would be of been spent on players n coach in ten years.Disagree? For what?To have a team full of imports and your best locals elsewhere?
Why have so many good LOCAL players left the club in this time? Its not money I assure you as many have been offered stupid $to stay.A town and junior base the size of Wallan should have at a minimum 70% locals.I guess at the minute recruits to locals is 50%.This is not sustainable and regardless how this season goes lets see how things look in 2026 and beyond. Many good people up there. but some decisions are simply astounding.

10 years ago when Daniel Nolan took over, Wallan was no where near the club it is today. They must be doing something right to attract good local footballers.

How many locals are playing at Riddle atm ?

Where did I say you couldn't have a different opinion? Have I even given one? No!!

My dig was at the multiple posters who claim all and sundry were leaving.

I learnt a long time ago to be very careful what I actually do say.

Has he been there that long? If so it’s way too long at one club imo. Personally think they need a change at the top and new direction. I think he’s a very good coach but needs to move onto another challenge as it could appear it’s just a comfortable set up and it goes on every year. Good businesses move on managers after certain time in charge to get new ideas etc..
Thoughts???

Played off in a granny last season. Why would the club want to move him on?

We will have 75+ on the track tomorrow night
No announcements from us just keep an eye on the clearances, don’t matter who you all recruit all playing for 2nd place

Deer Park just announced Jacob Langborne. A great 22yo pick up.

It looks like he's gone there with Hayden Gill.
