Unfortunately this is true

Bloke cheats on girlfriend is not news but somehow it becomes that when the bloke is famous because people will click on it

There’s any number of more important issues that could be reported on but they’re complex, often without a clear right or wrong, that people find boring. And I get it, if I’m relaxing I don’t necessarily want to read about why Russia is invading Ukraine and what it means for political stability. Or why the rise of China as a world economic super power is weakening the US dollar to the point where it may soon lose its status as the dominant global unit of currency

Let’s just laugh at known dickhead, Michael Clarke, providing more evidence for the affirmative

I’ll live in a bubble of self delusion and cease giving a shit about things I can’t control and on a micro scale not have a material impact on my life. I’d rather go watch a bunch of blokes practicing kicking a footy for 90 minutes then go home and pat the dog

And maybe sip on a cold beer

Yeah but, Clarkey got b*tch-slapped by his missus for potting some other bird!!

I wish they'd left the Berlin wall up and the cold war was still on with Russia in full commie mode.
So many kn Russians coming here now it's insane, like someone turned on a huge tap, one minute nice and quiet, next minute wall to wall Russians.
Selfishly, I really miss the COVID days, was so quiet and peaceful.
Have worked with them offshore for years and out of a huge amount have only had 2 that I consider normal, good blokes.
Rant semi over....

I noticed them everywhere in Phuket in 2018. They tend to be a grim bunch in my experience.

Majority of the tourists I saw in Sri Lanka were russians too. They probably just prefer tropical places i guess

The very few Russians I've met has only ever been surface but I've found them nice enough

However I grew up in Spearwood during the time of the Yugoslavia split, so if the old school Orthodox Serbians are similar to Russians, then perhaps I get what you're alluding to

Lol at the news order just now. There was a very quick/breaking update on Cassius murder (fair enough) followed by the following in order

1) Vandalism on a painting.
2) Australia Day and bosses letting staff take another day instead.
3) A car accident into a building
4) The sudden resignation of our closest neighbours highest ranked politician.

Did they at least get some F-grade celebrities on to tell us their opinion on some social issue?
