I agree wirra has held his own but his body can't handle 22 rounds anymore and we need to build a new breed, so do you want to give him one more year when were not going to be pushing for a premiership or get a kid we can train up to play in our future premiership?

I want to give him one more year to help train and guide the kids on the field with his experience and knowledge.

If you want to know how a whole team of kids go, you should have been paying closer attention to Carlton over the last few years.

People get hung up on injury lists.

We were poor from Rd 1, and started receiving ten goal flogging as early as Rd 2.

Personally i think we could still have made the 8 this year if we had had a good injury run. We were always going to struggle if that wasn't the case with the age of the list considering how much experience was lost from the year before.

Kerr was behind were he should of been due to missing most of the pre season with a hamstring injury and really never got going from their on. He was probably our most important player with the loss of Judd and Cousins

LeCras was another early blow as i'm sure he was earmarked to play some time in the middle as he did in the finals last year, he also played that role with West Perth

Priddis was out after round 4 and with Braun struggling from day one the season was pretty much shot midfield wise early on.

Not long after that the likes of Waters and Hunter got injured and with Glass being proppy the defence wasn't in a much better state

This led to the playing of 5 or so very inexperieced players early in season (See the Sydney game in round 4) and from then on we never had a settled side.


I'm still fairly confident the club can rebound strongly next year but the season has been a real set back in regards to team dynamics. Although we have blooded a lot of players, it was not under the ideal circumstances of trying a few at time within a settled side like in the past.

Agree with that, and I wouldn't be surprised to see us rebound very quickly.
