I'm so jealous of what you're about to experience for the first time.
Take the time to let the world soak in. The amount of detail is stunning.
It's incredible. Breathtaking even.
Easily my favourite single-offline game ever.
This is better then GTA in the fact that its realistic in its weapons, horses, coaches etc. Don't just go into fast flash car with a rocket launcher to blow the targets. It's a nice change.

Nope. I have never been able to get Sharpshooter challenge 8 to work which is needed to 100% the game.

I L2 every animal I see. The Compendium is 550!. Ridiculous.
I tried GTA V, not realising the offline stuff isn’t the only trophies to get, it’s the online which makes it absolutely BS. Such a greedy ploy by Rockstar to do online trophies when other games is hardly 5-10% most of the time

There are a couple of birds that are absolute pains to find but follow a guide and you will get it eventually. The Robin is an absolute campaigner and can take hours looking before getting one.
The best thing to do is find yourself a checklist- especially for hunting. That way you know what you need to do for platinum.

I got my first completed set of cards the other day too, very exciting!
Goddam thing was so quick I ended up just ploughing through the undergrowth on my horse and flushing the bastard out that way. Then it was a shotgun pellet or three to the face. Not much in the way of finessin', but got the job done.

People struggle with Giaguaro? Just use a powerful rifle and a couple of dead eye shots to the head should take care of it.
Not that. The fact that after inspecting the carcass, it literally comes out of the forest and hugs your neck. Wasn’t expecting that. Took me a few goes to suss out where the bloody thing is hiding.
How did you get to Giaguaro Panther without doing the cougars?

All well and good so long as you can find it before it finds you. I ended up shooting it pretty much point blank from off the horse, he was so quick the horse didn't even have time to panic

The first Red Dead was released on PS4 not long back, I had it when it first came out but never committed to playing properly and just roamed around shooting everything back then. Downloaded it over Xmas and just finished it. Gotta say, I was quite unsatisfied not getting to put multiple bullets in Dutch, obviously game plays a bit clunky compared to current times but still really enjoyed it

I found out you can just enter your satchel and then select "discard all", rather than becoming a chain smoker.
