So lucky to get 1st innings points thanks to Swepson being an absolute donkey. Barbecue'd Peirson solely because he didn't want to face McAndrew and then after almost getting Qld home thanks to a cameo from Whitney, tries to guide Agar over the keeper and only manages to nick it.

Unfortuantely they got rid of first innings points a few years ago

The new points system from CA website is.....

Teams get six points for an outright win, one point for a draw, plus 0.01 of a bonus point for every run over 200 they score during the first 100 overs of their first innings (ie: 350 after 100 overs nets you 1.5 bonus points) and 0.1 of a bonus point for every wicket a team takes during the first 100 overs of their opponent's first innings (ie: 10 wickets before 100 first-innings overs elapses nets you 1 point).

So the points breakdown from this game so far are

SA
1.14 points batting
1.0 points bowling

QLD
1.08 points batting
.9 points bowling
 
Marnus bowling absolute pies and has apparently been annoyed with the commentators taking the piss out of him all match 😂. Mate, go back to bowling leg spinners or simply just back in your actual bowlers like Swepson. Thankfully he ain’t the captain for Aus so there’s no chance we see these pies for more than a couple of overs this Summer!
 
Barring Labuschagne and Khawaja putting on a clinic we might actually be well placed to get an outright in this, we've definitely batted well in the 2nd innings.

Hopefully the wicket on day 4 will favour the bowers a bit more.

I was going to post exactly this.

He's technically good enough.

If he's amongst the best batsmen in the country, then why not.

Perhaps the selectors should suggest he open for WA next game.
 
Well placed going into day 4. I.presume we will declare.

I am dissapointed Pope isn't playing. I get he isn't perfect but I was hoping under a new coach he could get a block of games.

As others have said despite his second X1 form Lehmann shouldn't be in the side. Time for a change.

Marnus just got out it's 3/79

After starting at 0-61, they've now lost 3/18

From this point with Khawaja and Marnus being back in the pavilion you would expect QLD will stop chasing a win and try and play defensive to bat out a draw.

Hopefully the wickets can keep falling.

McAndrew continuing on his good form of the last 18-24 months, still quite underrated too. Crash Craddock mentioned that the Konstas twin 100s were 'only against the SA bowling attack', ignoring that our pace bowlers have been one of the better performing attacks for quite a while now and they all have Aus A or even Australian experience in Agar's case.
