So assuming Frampton comes in next week for Howe, who makes way for McInness if he makes it into the 22? I actually think it should be Mihocek but don’t think that’ll happen

Our selection under Fly has been super stable. Much fewer changes than under Buckley. And certainly not to fit established players. After a decent win.

The coach seems to like him.Said in the post match presser that they would have preferred to have him play a full game rather than just as a sub,but couldn’t quite fit him into the team.

Swap him for WHE

It should absolutely not be Checkers. He does so much work. Also nullified De Koning

Just so much potential here.

I am reminded for some reason of Tom Hawkins. They are nothing alike as players but back in 2010 and 2011 Hawkins looked like Tarzan but seemed to be the only person unaware of what he was capable.

Then in the second half of the 2011 GF he woke up. Now everyone knows.

Here's to McInnes waking up soon. If I'm right it will be like the arrival of some Lovecraftian Elder God for our enemies. The Era of Reef.

Reef had back issues when he was recruited which stifled his development. I am pleased with his progress and expect he will be a valuable asset for Collingwood for years to come. He certainly has the potential to be DeGoey-esq as a big-bodied mid who rotates forward. His marking ability is up there.
At the moment he is 23, does he replace anyone? In competition with McRae, Carmichael and Johnson.
Hopefully with Draper these boys will step up and replace Pendlebury and Sidebottom (bearing in mind the latter are club legends).

He does have a certain Kouta’esque style to his play. If he could turn out half that player it’d be awesome.
Yes!! When Kouta was on song, probably the best footballer in the league.
Clearly the Harveys, Buckleys and Wests were better over a prolonged period, but they were all magnificent players that we were fortunate enough to watch.

That stretch from about the mid point of the 2000 season until he got injured against Essendon was one of the most dominant stretches of footy I've seen by any player. He was running riot in the midfield then would just cruise forward and take pack marks whenever he was tagged. Wish we'd somehow picked him up as he was a massive Pies fan as a kid

He took 18 marks in one big game playing in defence. Against West Coast.
As good as the best I've ever seen.

Was he in the starting 22??
You made it sound like 23 was his age. I have to admit, the first thing that popped in to my head too was that you’d got it wrong, until I realised you meant 23rd man.

I liked him.

Had some personal issues it seemed. Hope he’s doing okay
Last I heard, he signed up to play for Stawell, got in a fight at the pub he was working at as part of his deal to go there, was sacked before he played a game, and then moved up to qld. That was 2018.

Me too. I just brought him up as he has a similar skillset to Henry. Maybe hands are a level below and kicking a level above, but talented third tall while not an explosive athlete, and an offensive slant to their games without a lot of pressure being applied.

I thought he was Explosive

Forgive me Dave, we’re caught between different conversations. Reef is explosive; Ollie Henry (and Jack Anthony) are not particularly.

Anthony was a straight kick who ran straight at the ball, a defender who did OK as a forward for a year or two but lacked forward craft. Imagine if Mihocek was worse overhead and could only kick drop punts about 40 metres or less.

Henry is a class finisher who is a trifle weak defensively, already worth his spot and loads of potential.

McInnes hasn't realized nearly as much potential as Henry but the sky is the limit, could be a fringe player or multiple B&F star.
