What a pathetic penalty decision against us. Absolutely no holding, and Antonio goes down at the slightest contact.

It was, that being the winner makes it sting surely. Probably had enough chances to win it as well but boy that was incredibly soft.

"Possible red" says the commentator. That's not possible, that's definitely a red.
It amuses me when the commentators try and justify a decision when they can see the replay shows they're wrong haha.

The reffing of the league this season is of the lowest standard I can ever remember. Baffling decisions all game that leave you scratching your head.

The make-up call has been a constant this year too.
100% agree. I don't remember the last time there was this many incompetent refs going around. It doesn't seem to matter who we've got, they balls something up. Really disappointing for the biggest league in the world.

Pfft, that's cute. La Liga is the best league in the world, and you don't see that crap in La Liga. [/laligafan]

It just seems like reffing standards have taken a real tumble this year. It felt like it was on the decline, but 16/17 has seen some horrible stuff going on.

Yep, the disallowed Ibra goal was bad enough but then 2 pens missed aswell. Useless bald ****

When was Ibra's disallowed goal? I was on him for first goal scorer...

the majority of officials havent been up to standard for years. turning a blind eye to decisions that help your side does nothing to help either.

the high foot rule when it comes to scoring goals is stupid and needs to **** off. like jerome's great overhead kick last season, you're ruling out great goals because they MIGHT hit someone in the head. then you have ibrahimovic's last night which was about 2-3 meters from valdes and just caught him on the leg with the follow through. so what? he scored fairly. if they're ruled out, then you have to start giving penalties for every late tackle in the box after the ball has gone, no?

In the first half. Would of been 1-0.
Was a clever goal but Mason deemed it dangerous on Valdes. Not sure you will find anyone that doesn't think it should of stood

FML. :(

we've got ******* mike dean against west ham.

Who do spurs fans hate more? Utd or West Ham?
Spam. They've got some weird fascination with us.
So you're safe. Spanners to end with 8 men.

Worst I've ever seen them. Getting some blokes remotely fit that can keep up with play would be a start but surely it's time to use technology at whatever the cost

I used to think the same but when I heard Howard Webb explain that Jesus Navas was fouled in the penalty area but it was brave refereeing not to give a penalty I knew that it's not going to change much.

He'd probably be one of the first video refs.

the problem with stuff like the jones/feghouli incident is that dean makes a decision that doesnt need to be made. it's like crooks in that video about the gabriel sending off, he doesnt HAVE TO send anyone off. this isn't like has the ball crossed the line or not, where a decision (previously) has to be made. neither player goes in and does anything particularly nasty. jones' reaction possibly gets feghouli sent off, but regardless, there is no need for mike dean to make such an extreme decision 15 mins in. at the absolute worst, a yellow card for each.

refs just seem to either make the wrong decision by not having the guts to make the call or feeling they have to make such an excessive decision. but we all know in mike dean's case it's a wonderful combination of being bad at your job and loving the spotlight.
