Re: AFL Dream Team 2009

:D

Ranked 3rd in the comp and only making our second best league !!!

Just maybe that is the way it has to be

It may sound crazy to you, but I simply don't know you - what if you were a hoax or a saboteur out to ruin our best league. I can't take that risk without being absolutely confident of your commitment and authenticity. The posters who have already shown their commitment by playing an entire season in The BigFooty Leagues Competition. If someone I trust vouches for you then we might reconsider.

We are honour bound to look after the existing BigFooty Coaches before opening the door to invitees.

Kildonan, I know Stormer's cousin, goes to the same school as myself. Stormer isn't involved in the EDT'ers, was his first or second year playing it this year he told me. Runs his own DT site as well, so is quite a dedicated chap. Would be happy for him to be placed near the top of the divisions.

Re: AFL Dream Team 2009

I wouldnt mind taking Stormer on next season ;)

25th last year.

Interesting that you guys won't be in the top division next year. Maybe anyone who finished top 10 (or 11 bb) gets a free pass. Would be great to have all the top finishers from last year in the top league. Hopefully I'd sneak in at 22nd.

I can vouch for banana_bus so both may be exceptions to the rule and both cases will be put forward for serious discussion

Re: AFL Dream Team 2009

He's definitely legit Kildonan. A few other posters will back that up soon enough.

I was involved in the Bigfooty Leage 'Total Domination' this year. We finished 13th overall but I brought us down quite a-bit.

Terrible year but will improve for next year. Any league is fine with me. :thumbsu:

i think the only way to do it is to find your team in the rankings lol. then right click, copy link location and paste it here.

Finished 47th after a tough finish to the year.

Would be very interested in joining a league next year depending on what format is decided on regarding promotion in subsequent years.

Will wait and see what everyone comes up with.

My two cents worth would be that any newcomers (like me) should start in the lower divisions with the possible exception of regular contributors who finished in the top 10-20 say (like Stormer). He should start in the top few divisions for sure.

Then in subsequent years people should get promoted and demoted from each league (top 3 up, bottom 3 down maybe??) with bonuses for players who say finish in the top 50 overall (ie they can jump more than one league - not sure how many etc... maybe someone who is in a high league that has a shocking season can be replaced by a high achiever in a lower league??

Don't know how I can further prove myself other than the fact that i've made over 1000 posts this season cheering for my team knowing the captain choices before lockout. If you need me to take a screencap of my team with whatever set captain, I can do it I guess.

We'd be mad  to ignore a DT talent like yours, Stormer.

The point was being made so that everyone could see that we can't just take everybody and throw them into teams based on ranking. There are nearly 200 coaches who have already dedicated a season to BigFooty leagues. These guys deserve some loyalty and I wish to show it by giving them precedence over posters who are newly joining.

The imposition on the newer coaches is not much because all of these leagues are going to be populated by very similarly skilled DTers.

Promotion and demotion will properly begin after the 2009 season in preparation for the 2010 season.

I can't wait.

Good work :thumbsu::)

I think that's fair enough too.
