Technically yes but extremely unlikely. Would have to lose all their remaining games and someone like Richmond or the Saints have to win most of their remaining games.
If Freo get smashed tonight their % is already lower than Richmond. Freo got a loss vs Bulldogs next week so WC could end Freo season in rd 22?

Optus Stadium hasn't really worked as a fortress for both Eagles and Freo. Isn't as big a home ground advantage anymore

I miss Subiaco Oval. It was suited to us. And was different. Remember the good old days where we win every game at Subi and opposition just couldn't work the dimensions of the ground out. By the time they did it was too late as we'd be 30-40 in front. I haven't been impressed with Optus.

I'll take Optus being closer in dimensions to the MCG, one reason we play better at the G now (this year excepted). Will be a fortress for us again when we get good again. Subi was never a big fortress for Freo.

i'd like to see the stats on that since optus came in what our away record is like.

Only fortress freos ever had is the prison.

The subi moniker 'house of pain' was named after their 2003 season where they won every home game (before finals).

Shame everything bar the field at Subiaco was awful.
