Yep, it's pretty brutal. This is their fourth year being in the mix and they still just don't like they've got that next step in them. History tells us they probably only have a couple more years at most with this group.

Sadly they are by and far away my most preferred flag winner of the genuine chances left.

Brisbane and Saints spent years and years rebuilding and have nothing to show for it. There would be nothing more frustrating then finishing a rebuild slightly too early and peaking a rung below the contenders.

I thought we might have done the same after 2011/2012, as our midfield build wasn't great (Masto/Selwood/Ebert didn't hit big heights for us). 2010 saved us as well as a handy 2013 end of season (where we got Yeo, Sheed and Barrass). Just goes to show, you only need to nail 1 or 2 drafts and you can fill the rest with role players.
