Sorry to intrude. But why are Eagles fans so utterly triggered at the Tigers? We have no rivalry as far as I'm aware. In fact we love you guys for your magnificent comeback from behind victories against the Pies in 2018.
Put away your bitter tears and join us in celebrating one of the most emphatic premiership victories in history, with a wonderful and heart warming West Australian back story.

1) We’re not particularly fond of Victorian teams especially the large ones that fail to recognise the armchair ride they are given year in year out due to geography and the competition structure. That you get to play the GF at your home ground irrespective of ladder position until 2057 is a joke
2) The GF was boring so why would we celebrate it
3) Enjoy being premiers - your team deserved it but don’t expect anyone else to be happy about it

The fact you posted on here to seek validation just three days after winning a flag probably tells you all you need to know.

Richmond supporters are like that chick we all know on social media who posts pics of themselves sipping mai tais on foreign beaches. The fact that they went somewhere exotic to enjoy themselves isnt important, unless everyone tells them how #blessed they are they'll take the photo down cause it didnt get enough likes.

Imagine giving a sh*t what other teams think about your flag less than a week after winning it! 😂 Werent we all still pissed as newts this time last year?

Their club identity is still framed by 37 years of being embarrassed of their club, and constant disappointment.

They are still pinching themselves wondering when they will wake up from this dream.

I rate Longy, I'm worried Freo will become a highly skilled, highly drilled team now. Especially with their above average list.

Longmuir could also be another Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, time will tell

Hawthorn to get Patton for a third rounder the year after they got Scully for a fourth rounder.

Two quality players there for packets of chips.

Patton
No.1 draft pick
Still contracted
Nine other clubs that could offer a better deal in his home state
Third rounder - good deal GWS should just accept

The hypocrisy is stunning

To be fair Patton's had three knee reconstructions, he's one more injury away from early retirement.

Accept that is the case and it definitely factors into his trade value along with the fact that he hasn’t really produced even when fit

But bugger me if there isn’t another club that would consider offering more than a 3rd rounder but it’s not even raised. Nominating a club seems to be acceptable for anyone not named Tim Kelly

It's becoming a farce. AFL needs to realise that Vic clubs have two additional academy zones in Gold Coast in GWS now with the amount of player movement back "Home". But nothing will happen because the AFL is the VFL.

Break-away league please

Already have one. It's called the WAFL - get down and watch premiership heroes Nathan Vardy, Tom Cole and Liam Duggan strut their stuff.

AFL Eagles are just a feeder team for the Beag's now looking at that talent!

I reckon people have their knickers in a twist about Kelly nominating is not just because he’s a gun but also because they feel it’s politicised somewhat.

This will no doubt lead to a shitfight - but can’t help but feel there’s something about the fact they’re indigenous parents of young kids with special needs that makes the public feel more entitled than usual to determine their fate.

Of course mostly though it’s because people think Geelong uncovered some rough gem from nowhere, plus the usual #VICBIAS.

I think its just the #VICBIAS TBH. The media over there is so used to stars from interstate requesting trades to Vic clubs that that's just considered right and proper. However the one time when one Vic player who isn't a spud requests to go the other way? "CONTRACTED!", "CANT NOMINATE CLUB, CAN ONLY NOMINATE STATE!", "RECEIVING TEAM DOESNT HAVE THE TRADE CURRENCY!", etc.

Guarantee that if this was the other way around and West Coast were holding out on Kelly wanting to go home to Victoria the narrative would be that we're an underhanded and evil club for selfishly denying a little boy with medical issues his opportunity to go home and get better over something so trivial as "draft picks". Also drugs.

Expansion sides are just becoming feeders to the big boys. Gold Coast are going to get another round of handouts that will be back in Vic in 2-3 years. We can’t even manage to get a 25 year old 2nd year player over here without causing a stir. Imagine if it was Cogs and Cripps wanting to come home a couple of years ago. The WA guys being loyal is almost a disadvantage.

The best thing is when Richmond supporters were defending their fixture on the main board, they complained that West Coast enjoyed a better fixture because they have a true home ground advantage, Fortress Optus Stadium, hometown umpiring, noises of affirmation etc etc.

I asked them if they would prefer an interstate type fixture, where Richmond would be playing 10 home games at the MCG against interstate teams, then travelling outside of Melbourne for 10 games. Complete crickets in response.

In 2019 they deserved the flag, best team in September overall, but let's not pretend they had a harder time than the interstate clubs thanks.

They know in their heart of hearts that their flag is in part a result of a compromised fixture. It's why they're so invested in what every other club board is saying about them.

I'm actually here because I couldn't believe what I was hearing about how salty you lot are.

We had such good times together between the 2018 GF and the build up to Round 22 😢
