The next stat in our "Relevant or Not" series is hand balls.

Does your team gain an advantage on the scoreboard by hand-balling more often.



There is a slight positive trend in the relationship between hand ball differential and score differential (Correlation coefficient = 0.45 - in the weak range).

This of course doesn't mean hand balls are irrelevant. It probably means we are doing it wrong.

The next relationship we will be exploring in the "Relevant or Not" series is kicks. I wonder what that will show.
