Richard Tambling vs Lance Franklin Season 09

BOG in the first half then when the heat was on he was unsighted until he missed the goal from 30 out to win the game but apparently hes a gun.
They'll accept anything at Richmond.

nice try peanut

easily best and yes, hes improving at the rate of knots, has gone from spud to very good player in 11 weeks. Dont know what games you've been watching but ayone who bags him is FOS and hasn't seen him play consistantly the past 3 months. Have no hesitation in saying he's fast becoming a JET.

Funny how all the meat head morons come on and bag Tambling with no real argument to back it up. Yet 65% (silent majority) so far rate Tambling as having a better year than Franklin.
Let's compare:
Bling had low standards to begin the year, he exceeds them so is having a magnificent year.
Buddy had incredible standards to begin the year, he doesn't deliver the same kind of year, but is still kicking goal and is having a shocking year.

Which part of what I said was wrong the bit where he was
1/BOG in the first half?
2/ went missing when the game was there to be won? or
3/where he missed a sitter from 30 out to win the game?

Admit it you accept mediocrity at punt road and have done for 30 years.

um no, its not that he's exceeding them, its that he is playing damn good football now, doing everything we hoped he would and almost looks possessed to make up for lost time. He used to fumble ad play at low intensity, now is a clean one grab player, uses the ball very well and hits the contest HARD. Has been very impressive. I guess he needs to do this over a longer period of time to gain credit from the wider footy community which is fair enough but don't sell him short, he's been very very good

It was either Mcavaney or Committe who said yesterday "Tambling is absolutely fearless"

The professional Tambling knockers here wouldn’t have seen him play apart from playing their team and some other bits of game time, and then they will only focus on the negative, but even Richmond fans have been taken back by the explosion of all round skill and ability. He is now only a bee’s dik away from being elite. Watch him now and you get so excited when he has the ball because you KNOW he will do something clean and exceptional with it. Once he gets some more goal scoring ability, he will almost be the complete package. The way he is developing he could be easly be justafied as a number one pick.

Is he going better than Lids???

No, to be rated as elite you at least have to break a tag, he's not even rated by the opposition to even get a tag..... that says it all really, he's running around at half back inflating his stats having little to no influence on a match. When he did have a chance to influence the result of a match....he failed miserably from 30 metres out. Tambling isn't even in the top 50 at what he does.

Franklin on the other hand consistently gets double and tripple teamed, influences the result of matches and of late has single handedly won games of his own boot and is sitting 3rd in the Coleman medal. :) :thumbsu:

It was actually 2 goals 11, but we still won the match which is more than i can say for Tambling who chocked when the pressure was on from 30 metres out to win his team the game........back to hypnosis for poor Ritchie. :)

and the hard ball get to deliver to the goal square for Morton to snap and equal the score came from the Easter Bunny did it? Stop being a dill and just admit Tambling is playing exceptional football this year.

Based on previous years Tamblings form this year is outstanding, lifting him to the average category.

Happy.

If Tambling is average this season, and he is playing better than Franklin as the majority agrees, what does that make Franklin?

3rd in the Coleman for starters and the majority of people have no idea.

Solid midfielder vs. KPP match winner I know which one I want in my team.

Half the people who voted for Tambling were swayed that way because they didn't expect much.
Tambling wouldn't get a game in 10 other sides.

3rd in the Coleman out of about 20 genuine KPFs and you're comparing that to the 400-odd mids' stats?

Setanta O'Hailpin "wins" more matches than Brian Lake. I know who I'd prefer. But that's not the topic anyway.

Why is it so hard to admit Tambling is playing well?

No he doesn't.

No one is saying he is not having a good season. The topic is who out of Buddy and Bling is having the better season. In most peoples minds and the obvious answer is Buddy. The key word is SEASON, Bling was a disaster in the first half of the season.

Franklin has had more influence in his last 5 quarters than Tambling has had in 5 years. Tambling is improving though he's probably up to about 60th best wingman in the league.:thumbsu:

I'd say there are some.

And Bling had one bad game, was dropped and ever since has shone. Even in round 1 he was our second best. Albeit that wouldn't have been too hard.
