Well I reckon Short could play forward, and he can play back, but seems most suited to a a wing. Not a bad position to be in and hopefully has a cracking pre season. Reminds me a bit of Geoff Raines.

Club have told Shorty he wont play forward because he doesnt tackle. His words to me, " **** tackling"

His best hope is replacing Houli one day IMO

Tackling is a bit contagious, and club says tackle or you don't play.... he'll tackle. I like his aggression and attitude, reckon he'll play a fair bit next year.

Get him on a wing, open spaces will play into his game style rather than the confines of an attacking or defensive arc where pressure and tackling are immense. The open spaces will suit his speed and kicking ability.

Being named an emergency for the GF suggests he isn't far off.

You know, reading this thread, I can't see us losing a game next season. I expect we'll lose a few players at the end of 2018, because they can't get regular football in a back-to-back premiership line-up, so I hope the list managers are already working on that.

I love pre-season.

So - couple of questions:

1. Is this the 'toughest pre-season ever'? (Answer - yes it is).
2. Are all players champing at the bit and raring to go? (Answer - yes, they are).
3. Is there a 'great vibe about the club'? (Answer - yes there is).
4. Is the coaching staff...(Oh, just do it yourself. You know how it works).

Haven't won a flag for almost 2 months, hopefully we can break it soon.

It will be far more enjoyable and watching games next year will be far less stressful and rage enducing.

Once upon a time, in a land not too far away, where dark clouds were constantly on the horizon, I remember when we could not even spell tackle.

We were great at corralling though.

I am so glad things changed.
