Is it true you post on Big Footy under the handle 'BRAB'?

Fwiiw I'm thinking we'll win this game comfortably.

Most supporters being more cautious than usual is a bull flag.

We have a lot to play for in this game . We have close to our best side in. The Tigers will think they're in with a good shot but they've struggled to beat worse sides than us recently.

Anything can happen in footy as we know but I'll be a bit crestfallen if we can't win this.

I genuinely think whether Kiddy gets up is a massive swing in this game. We just look so much better with him out there.

The difference between 5 or 6 kicks through the corridor that set someone up well forward of centre and not having them at all is massive.

Plus Kiddy with his disposal is made for the MCG.

He's a gun out of nowhere . This is a year where he can make a big impact before all the other teams wake up.

Mooch remember that lady who used to be in our section and would non stop abuse players? She was on my bus on Saturday! Glad she's moved seats!
How could I forget!! She did pop into our section once this season to shout at somebody then cleared off again. But yeah, glad she has moved.

The way Kiddy has come on he is genuinely a required player. No Rich and no Kiddy would be a problem.

Agree....and there is improvement needed across the board in that area. Team defense is a talking point in every review after every game.
If it is being discussed in every review after every game then why is there no noticable difference? I only get to see them on the TV 99% of the games, so maybe it is different live. Is it because they are lazy or do they just not have the required fitness?

Its amazing isnt it. Ever since last season where he got moved to the backline for the last few rounds, he has just improved out of sight, every single game. He gives us something that none of our other players in the team give: Quickish (not linebreaking but solid), accurate kick (my nerves ease as soon as l see him have the ball), runs it out of defence and follows up, solid tackler, really good decision maker. Hoping for someone else to break out like he has, if Bailey and Rayner turn up for the finals, watch out

Nope. Pretty sure other teams were paying attention to how good Kiddy was way before us noobs on BF were. He ain't flying under the radar.

Lets not forget Adrian Dodoro put a bid on him pretty early. Way earlier than most were expecting.

We are a good team not a great team.If we are going to win the flag we will need everyone playing to near their best and a lot of luck.
Interesting exercise, how many of the current team would make our threepeat team?
Just for fun. Feel free to disagree.
Without getting into any position changes etc.

How do you or I know if there has been improvement other than what we see as spectators. Everyone should strive to be better every day of their lives & footballers are no different in that area. They try to be better & improve at everything they do I am sure. Sometimes it's a slow process and sometimes you can see instant results. Suggesting it's laziness or being unfit is not respectful to the person who you know nothing or very little about but.... this forum is where you can do that. I myself believe you see results, you just dont recognize it or acknowledge it as you would if it was something you were trying to be better at yourself. It's work in progress every game depending on how good/bad the opposition is.

I would take Daniel Bradshaw over Joe Daniher, other than that pretty much agree. Harris Andrews in his best form would be putting pressure on Mal Michael IMO.

Is it just me or others as well who get so tired of the consistent negativity thrown out by some? Sure there is times when they(The club & or coach's & players) deserve a prod with something electric, but generally I want to support my team not drag them down whenever I can. It's also much more enjoyable to celebrate a win rather than criticize it wasn't good enough and search out situations that give them an opportunity to put s**t on them.

We are 3rd on the ladder (equal 2nd on points) with only 4 rounds of footy left to complete before finals....AND WE ARE PLAYING FINALS!!!

I dont always think glass 1/2 full but there is so much more glass half full opportunities for us as supporters this year than glass 1/2 empty but you wouldn't know that if you read our BF Board much......and I promise you it's much more fun to enjoy the success of this club rather than wallow in the few disappointment's they have delivered.

I am positive about the club, the next 4-5 years and generally about the level we play at. Fagan should have a statue built, Zorko is a passionate leader, our kids are great.

I am sometimes negative and critical when assessing our chances of winning a flag, if that is the ultimate goal in mind after 4 years of being cemented in the top 4.

I think it’s ok to be generally positive about our overall position, especially given where we have come from, and it’s ok to be frustrated and negative at times when assessing our chances of winning a flag.

Some supporters take a ‘protective outlook’ which is not to put too much pressure on, be happy we are relevant and to just essentially ‘enjoy the process’ which is a good approach, some set markers, want to see improvement, make claims like ‘it’s flag this year or bust’ etc and put the pressure in for results - these supporters can be critical at times , be emotional and demand more.

I see these different approaches in my family between equally passionate and invested Lions supporters and it exsists on BF too.

Both are just as passionate and would love to see us win one just as much, it’s just human nature.

Kind of like different parenting styles exsist, just the Lions are our child haha

That’s what I see anyway.

A lot of comments in the media about this being our ‘premiership statement game’ - it’s absolutely true.

Just come out and win, no more talking, no more excuses, this rich vein of form everyone has been waiting for starts at the G on Sunday - just come out with a full squad, on the G and take care of the 10th placed team.

We do that and what a spring board that would provide.

We don’t and we just keep spluttering along in the virtually irrelevant to the premiership conversation, which is where we belong if we lose.

Just get out there, like the Sydney away game, play well and get it done.

I was at the Freo game also. Frederick tore us a new one and we couldn't run with him in the last 1/4. In the game I watched, he was the game changer along with Freo's midfield smashing us late in the game.
From memory Frederick's main benefit was as a recipient of turnovers up field. He didn't bother pressuring/chasing his man when they were involved in a rebound and lagged off, so was free on the quick counter-rebound when our midfield ****ed up.

He was also in particular a recipient of zorkos extremely aggressive play in the last quarter, leaving him completely alone after a few center bounces trying to run hard forward to get us back into the game.

Not even close to the way I saw it but that's all good. Sometimes (often) someone's perception of what happens in a game is polar opposite to the way the game plan was set.
We needed to roll the dice to win the game. Unfortunately our dice roll didn't work out the way we wanted it to and instead put Frederick in the box seat to become game day hero.

The second part of your post seems very much in line with what dlanod said

Richmond v us at the MCG. Absolute must win for us.....not mathematically , just to show the world and us we can win at the home of footy.

Personally, I hate this game. At the corresponding fixture, many years ago I got thrown out of the MCG. It still riles me up a bit!

T
We had a horrible “supporters” behind us at the Gabba last week who constantly bagged our players, and the umps. Completely ruined the first half for us. Luckily we were in GA and moved at half time. Can’t imagine paying for a season ticket and being stuck in front of people like that.
hat why a seasons ticket can be a bad buy
