They'll obviously try to expose us for pace.

They won't be able to keep it up all day.

I'd really prefer just the 2 talls in the forward line against this opposition on this ground. It's never going to happen.
McCluggage was on The Roar Deal today and said as much when questioned about what the Tigers will do, he mentioned they like to > fast play, tap ons, get it forward quick, turnovers.

We know what they will be trying to do, whether we can stop it and/or have the players that have the ability to do it is the question.

I have really liked Cockatoo off half back the last few weeks. Both in the seniors and reserves. His speed and power at contests would be valuable in the finals

Interchange: Mathieson, Robertson, Prior, Lyons

Sub: Cockatoo

Answerth will be playing. I think Robertson or Prior will be sub. Whoever isn't the sub out of those 2 hopefully replaces Robbo.

They may roll the dice with Fort not being sub for this round and hope Big O plays the whole game. We will be needing more leg speed come second half of this game, having Fort as sub may not be ideal.

It will be interesting. We need leg speed and will probably as quick as we can.

The good thing about Sun games is the extended bench reduces the Thu melts and keeps the tension of who's in/out going a bit longer. Of course we know that 3KZ is Football is grinding his teeth over Lester's exclusion and beardancer is grinding theirs over Joe's inclusion but those have already been expressed a priori so don't mess up the board this evening. Of course should we lose their names might just come up on Sunday evening! ;)

At least Robertson is in our side again (until he gets dropped from our extended bench tomorrow)

Over the years it has been Riewoldt that has kicked the goals against us
Recent times Martin has kicked a bag. If not kicking goals he is racking up damaging disposal numbers
Then Lynch joined them from the Suns but his goal numbers are not as good as Riewold's
Goals from these three going back to 2018 when the Lions started to be competitive
Riewoldt:- 6,3,2,4,3,4,1 then prior to 2018 it was 4,4,4
Martin...: 1,0,0,6,2,6
Lynch....: 2,3,3,2,1,4(Suns)

Martin not playing so that is a positive for us
Riewoldt last month Dockers 1, Kangaroos 2, Suns 3, Eagles 3.
Lynch last month Dockers DNP, Kangaroos DNP, Suns 0, Eagles 2
So their spearheads are not setting the world on fire so we need to keep it that way

Who has been the multiple goal scorers for Richmond the last month
Dockers: 6 individual goal scorers- Bolton 2
Kangaroos: 8 individual goal scorers - Cumberland 3, Riewoldt 2
Suns: 8 individual goal scorers - Riewoldt 3, Bolton 3 Cumberland 2
Eagles 12 individual goal scorers - Riewoldt 3, Edwards 2, Lynch 2, Mcintosh 2, Bolton 2, Baker 2, Pickett 2

Point of Order Mr. Speaker, on relevance. I didn’t mention Ryan Lester in my question and the honourable member knows that.

yeap that 23rd man usage is becoming questionable almost each week. Was it not implemented for a best 22 player who was concussed or seriously injured?
if i recall correctly the argument was he had hamstring 'awareness'? or just tightness.

unlucky for him came in late in the final quarter... poor guy :(

Meanwhile we are running around with a ruck or key defender as the sub a reasonable amount. I just don't get it.

We're so stupid we kept Matho on the bench against Essendon when we had 2 guys out there who were legless.

Arguably cost us the game.

Don't mean to be so blunt but you do have to wonder.

Just for fun. Feel free to disagree.
Without getting into any position changes etc.

Daniel Bradshaw was a beautiful kick for goal… you give me Joe or Bradshaw in a high pressure final and I’m picking Bradshaw every day

Some radio people in Melbourne saying the eyes will be on the MCG on Sunday to see what Brisbane produce.
Geez if we don't win this week we will be written off in Melbourne town i tell you.
Going to be a really interesting watch this week for our lions.
