News Richmond's Sydney Stack and Callum Coleman-Jones arrested after brawl outside strippers bar

It's to ensure the players don't get it from someone else outside the bubble. Rule put in place early before eradication happened in some states.

Less of a concern now but there has been a few traced community transmission cases in Qld this week so it could still happen. Did you complain when two Port best 22 players were banned for having a small house party in SA with no virus for 4 months?
Fair enough - not complaining just curious - I hadn't really thought about it until this discussion raised what the restrictions actually were in qld. Happy to play by the rules but its good to know the purpose behind them.

The whole of the Gold Coast will be very happy when this despicable organisation leaves our city.
All clubs have been exemplary ambassadors except this gross self entitled and disrespectful nasty group.
They’ve been appalling. We saved the VFL this year our city and gave Richmond facilities and hospitality.
We can’t wait for them to leave.
Anyone from that club that laughs at my post are reinforcing what I’m saying.

Yes by the fact that they breached their own covid rules. The QLD premier made that pretty clear in her tweet this afternoon. The players are not a part of the general community. How is that not clear to people?
dont think they broke qld laws but it seems they broke afl protocol

Kebab Zone owner Mick Akca did not see the start of the fracas but said Stack was a “nice guy” who was tired and a bit tipsy and the person that approached the duo was a drunken troublemaker.

Without an actual quote it implies that "tipsy" is the writer's interpretation or addition.

The same guy is heard several times on the Twitter video saying they weren't drunk.

The way your carrying on it’s like these two are the only two to break protocol, and I guess being from a club that was saved from bankruptcy by the AFL I can understand why you are sensitive
And yours wasn't?
Has success destroyed your collective memory as well as your culture?

yeah sorry I meant they didn't break qld covid laws. getting attacked in public is obviously against the law :)

Would assume police used CCTV from the streets and not just the kebab shop to determine exactly what happened and it likely involved more action before what has been made public. But that is just an assumption. The only fact we know for sure is they were fined for their actions.

That's just Semantics.

I'm not one of those piling onto Richmond, but you seem to be intent on trying to defend the indefensible.
They were evicted from a strip club. Breached Covid protocols and got into a barney.
Is is that much of a stretch to imagine they'd had few drinks?

Stac also drinking whilst on the injury list which is a no no.

Yes, he was saying they weren't drunk.
He's not saying they weren't tipsy.

I know you're trying to make the best out of a bad situation, but the optics are terrible.

At best they won't play again this year and Richmond will get a massive fine.

You're better off just waiting for the outcome tonight because you seem to be digging yourself into a hole.

How have I carried on? I haven’t even stated a personal opinion on what I think their punishments should be.

Are you that precious you see any discussion of facts and probable penalties as an attack?

You need therapy.

Shhh. That's how Tigers fans operate.
They're better than us. The rules don't apply to them. No one has got it as bad as them. Please stop picking on them. We're jealous of them.

And to be fair, they're simply following their club's coaches' and players' direction.

How many of you campaigners gonna have a kebab for tea tonight?
Nah I'm sorted already, I got leftovers from a nice curry I cooked last night.

Could SMASH a few hours at the strippers though!!!

Sounds like it was more like a token fine so they didn't have to stay locked up for the night. Not based on any evidence other than they probably just admitted they were involved

Do people honestly think that they were both awake at 330am and thought you know what lets duck into town for a quick kebab, and then were randomly for no reason set upon?

FYI I think a simple suspension and fine is plenty, but the club probably should get put on notice for any further incidents.

I don’t see how Police could fine you for saying a guy attacked you but you pushed him away, or would even want to fine you for it, but I guess for a young black male things might be different.
