Glad he is going around again. Even if he doesnt play every game the presence he has on the younger players is important.
We have two players over 30 now. Much better then last year. Remember, we have delisted alot and the is meant to be a shallow draft.

I am not sure if why this is considered a selfish act by Richo. He is clearly still one of our better players. Remember he finished = 3rd in last year’s Brownlow and started this year well before his injury (which does not concern me, he has proved time and time again he is a good healer and will return from this IMO) He is still an elite runner and will add some much needed experience to a team that has already got rid of Brown, Coughlan, Pettifer, Johnson, Bowden and looking to offload Tuck as well (that 988 games of experience).
I would agree with you if he was a full forward only and therefore taking the place of one of our young forwards. However with his versatility we can play him where needed Wing, half forward even (as reports a mentioning) as a mobile ruckman.

A win for footy fans. I love watching him play. Hope he has a blinder to finish his career.
Fantastic! Richmond have plenty of dead wood they can cut so in a shallow draft there is no need to retire a champ like Richo who still has a lot to offer.
Even if he does do a hammy and not play a game all they have lost is probably the last pick in a very weak draft.

Good onya Richo... Love watching you play. One of my all time favourite non-Swans players. A pleasure to watch. Not always good, but always worth watching.
As for the Trolls and naysayers, go **** yourselves. You wish you had a player like Richo. I wish we did too.

I just hope he gets to 300 games, we havent had a player who desrves it more than Richo in decades

Obviously Richo isn't the future, the man himself has been a great player for Richmond over a long period of time. He has nothing else to prove. Unless personal milestones are the objective.
Hardwick already has made hard calls on younger players, this one is a little puzzling tbh. But anyway, good luck to Richmond and Richo.

Pfft how can you say its regretful for richmond to Pick up Richo for one more year?
He is on the veteran list so his List spot and salary barely affect the team.
He is a champion of the game and deserves to go out on his terms and he probably still has a fair bit left for one last push.
Richmond have very few senior players to help guide the younger players (You can make as many jokes about how little they have helped the young guys previously)

To be honest even though Richo is 34 he will still give us more than JON or Hughes.
He'll probably play more games next year than they would if they hung around the club for another 5 years.
