Riewoldt tripping incident.

Silly thread..

Players only get suspended for tripping when they go out of their way to trip.

Instance's like Nick's where it is largely instinctive alway get off...
Cannot think of one like Nick's which has every cost anyone a game.

Wrong actually, even if its reckless or negligent you can still get reported.

Ridiculous thread. He'd just copped a second whack to the head and was on the turf disoriented. He grabbed automatically at the oppo player running past. Deserved a free kick, which it drew, bot nothing more.

They were two completely separate incidents, it wasn't when he got concussed.

Ridiculous thread. The ball came in and Riewoldt got punched in the head by some guy coming in from the side who laid him out on the ground. Then when he was on the ground he tried to tackle and accidentally tripped another guy who RAN OVER HIM?

Anyone who thinks he should go for that is a moron. Plain and simple. Should have been a free to him in the first place - he wouldn't have been on the ground if it was a fair contest.

I don't think anyone should go for that, but it's a rule and other players have got done for it. If the rule is there I guess you should enforce it? Have you seen the fletcher incident? Reiwoldts looks worse.

Does that mean Nick can punch someone in the face and its only dangerous to "HIS" hands!!!

Imagine if you could get suspended for hitting your own team mates. Kosi would play about 5 games a year

you have to wonder whether Ball's hammy cramp is a lingering effect of being bent in two by Kosi.

This was the Fletcher incident that he got a week for earlier this season.

I can see the similarities. They were both against the Bulldogs. Other than that, nothing like each other.

You have to laugh at the St Kilda supporters getting in a flap. It was a deliberate trip. There is no doubt. Nobody thinks he should be suspended but the truth is it is equally as bad as the Fletcher incident.
