Although I only knew him through the media it shook me when I heard the news of John's untimely passing.

A brilliant comedy writer and humorist who had the capacity few have of making people laugh uproariously.

Noticed that Brian Dawe, his brother in arms for the must see Clarke and Dawe segment on the ABC on Thursday evenings was too distressed to speak. Condolences to John's family, Brian and all John's close friends. Thursdays at 6.55pm won't be the same.
