Some news on the grape vine with plenty of truth behind them as well.

Mangoplah are set to announce a new captain coach in the up coming weeks with Jeremy Rowe set to return to the region and take up the position on offer to him.
Be a big boost for Mangoplah and believed to be bringing a couple of players with him as well. Could be the boost they need out their to become a real force in the comp.

Also, Mangoplah and East Wagga are both pushing hard to regain the services of Mitchell Reberger who is also returning to Wagga late this year.
Apparently Rowe is pushing hard for him to join him in a assistant role but rumours are when Reberger left to join East Wagga it was due to certain people involved in the club and said he would play with them again whilst they are involved in the club, they still are which could put a dint in their chances.

Also, Sam Keenan has been let go for next season and will not be resigned ny Coolamon with Jason Brown and Luke Maloney set to take the reins.
North Wagga are in the market and big Sam has been seen catching up with members of the North Wagga commitee during the week.

Could be interesting if any of this is true Piston. Rowe would be good for the Goannas with their young list.

Co-coaches at Kindra Park? I thought Brown had had enough of coaching when he stood down at TRYC. I guess $$$ speaks all languages!!

No doubt we'll read about these stories in the DA about 3 weeks after they happen.

You should start writing fairytales as you are very good at it!

. I know it was close last year but not all 5 sides were this close last year were they? Or am I making it sound closer this year than it actually is?

Its a identical to last year in eveness in the seniors but more even in the Ressies than last year, with very little seperating the top four there.[/quote]

it will be a very good finals series in ressies this year with the only real certainty to be that Leeton knock Tigers out.. Other than that i think any team is capapble..

Liked the look of Turvey on Sat. But the Eagles put the cue in the rack b4 the game even started. There was very little pressure, forwards didn't chase past the 50. With it been so even the favs would have to be Coolamon, weeks rest and more than likely a full squad to pick from. Leeton could be the smokey but big task from 5th, with it been so even. I'm tipping Coolamon to win it. Would like to think they'll play Turvey, but same prob as Leeton. Be a good month what ever the result.

Just some news from the Eagles camp,Jamie Gritnell has signed on as a player for 2010.3 players from the GV League about to sign aswell as 1 or 2 highly rated players from ACTAFL.Just thought i would throw it out there???:)

The relegation threat splurg is about to take hold, clubs if you havent got any money in the tank, you may be in trouble. If EWK & NW go back to farrer at least they wont have to pay beyond their means. And if the Gullie come in to RFL next year they better find another sugar daddy because that 1st year in RFL under P & R is going to be costly.

Not much comment on Leeton being the venue for the Wagga v Ganmain final, for what its worth they have picked the wrong game for this venue. Coolamon would have been better, and the Leeton v Turvey would have been better at Narrandera. Ganmain sportsground seems to get alot of finals for some reason, but Im not complaining because Leetons chances are better on the smaller GGGM ground.

Turvey and coolamon's recruiting commitee would be happy with themselves after the way this years b&f votes came in. Except for D campbell who was already at turvey of course.

I have some reservations about the Hoppers, I'm not sure they have the right cattle for september glory on Narrandera sportsground but they are in poll position, and have more of a chance than us down in the snake pit.

I'm with you on this one NSWelshman.
I think the Hoppers might find the Tigers hard to beat at Narrandera with their run and pace. Leeton seems to have the edge over them too at the moment.
However if coolamon get to the grand final against ganmain or turvey I'd start the hoppers as favourites.

Did i see the Pie Eater got his side to finish in top position, if this is correct his side has no hope in the finals. He will be eating the local bakery out celebrateing his good season. TOO FAT CANT PLAY NO MORE he will tell his team. I want another pie

Crows quietly confident they can progress

THE Crows will have to topple Turvey Park for the first time this season to keep their premiership campaign alive on Sunday in the elimination final at Ganmain Sportsground.
However, both games have been close ones and Leeton-Whitton coach Matt Smith said his team is ready to go one better this weekend.

"The times that they've beaten us, I think it was by 10 points and the other one was 15 or 20 or something like that, so they haven't actually 'beaten us-beaten us', they've just got over the line," he said.

"We've been in positions on both occasions were we probably should've won the game.

"I think they've got a really good midfield, so obviously we're going to have to do a lot of hard work in that area.

"They've got guys like (Andrew) Donaldson and (Corey) Munson running through there. I think if we can get on top in the midfield it'll go a long way to winning the game."

The team's met in the same game in 2008 and Leeton-Whitton, having lost to the Bulldogs by 40 in the weeks beforehand, soared to an 11.6 (72) to 7.12 (54) win.

This season's run into the finals hasn't been quite as tough as last year where the Crows entered the top five in the last round, but they have had to string important wins together.

"The last few weeks have been pretty much finals football," Smith said. "Nothing changes, we've still got a little red thing to chase and kick through the big sticks.

"We'll have to focus on the things we do well and hopefully that'll get us over the line.

"Everyone should be on hand. We've rested some players, so I'd say we'd be as good as we can be on the weekend."

Leeton-Whitton finished fifth and took a comfortable win over the Eastern Hawks last weekend, while the Bulldogs gave Narrandera an 82-point drubbing.

Heard the same rumor regarding potential recruits to Narrandera in 2010. Will be interesting to see if this comes to fruition as I think I have heard the same thing many times over....

Narrandera should remember their last AFL Canberra recruit - he could play!! :D

Great to see the Eagles juniors doing so well this year. Would be a fair while since an Unders Team from headquarters made the finals - great stuff.

top of the ladder's only halfway
expect Michael Wheatley to dominate this finals series
would not rule out a BOG in the grand final

Turvey were very impressive. Tigers look like going out in straight sets. Anyone see the Ganmain game?

Yes tigers didn't even give a growl, turvey are in with a big show. My pick Lions v Dogs GF. Lions V Crows in Ressies, Tigers V Crows 17s. :thumbsu:
