Backline pretty standard, but there's a reason for that, it's solid!

Not sure on Hibberds job security personally, but back him in if you think differently! Libba the same. Other than that mids look good.

Rucks - as solid as anyone elses. I dunno if Keefe will play, but I can't pick a 4th ruckman who will play that much who is cheap.

Forwards - Pretty good really. Can't fault the team too much personally. I've left Darling out and gone Tapscott, Richardson and Matera on the bench. I think they have the potential to score more, as they will play a fair bit behind the ball and get the cheapies!

Forwards are my main concern. Might be a little light on. I've got 140k left, but I just can't see anyone there who is great value.

Team looks great, similar to mine.

My only suggestion would be maybe Cross instead of Boyd. Cross will deliver solid scores each week, and would complement the high scoring capability of your other premium mids.

Not sure on Tapscott and Richardson job security, tough choice.

Back: I reckon Hibberd will be struggling for a game when Slattery gets back. Otherwise looks okay.
Mids: solid, only concern is a lack of a mid/fwd
Rucks: Fine, maybe swap McCauley for J Tippet do you can DPP with Petrie?
Forwards: Looks good, bar the Tippet/Petrie suggestion above.

not a bad side not sure about Trengrove maybe wood who eade said would be harbrow role,mids good think sylvia will have a good year,rucks great fwds would upgrade duncan to waite and away u go.

I spent a fair amount of time last night on it and came up with this. I'm not convinced with it but I feel I've spread the team well. Rookie players will no doubt change a little with selections tonight.

Here it is....

Backline: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Grundy, Grimes, Bob Murphy, Duigan (Toy, Lester, Lower)

Midfield: Swan, Selwood, Cooney, Boak, Conca, Heppell (Harris, Libreatore, I. Smith)

Rucks: Mumford, Ryder (Smith and Tippett)

Forwards: N. Riewoldt, Pavlich, Franklin, Higgins, Petrie, Krakouer, Richardson (Prestia, Tapscott, Darling)

That seems like a risky as hell forward line. If it works, fantastic but that is a lot of potential for disaster. Buddy misses games, Johnson gets injured and is very up and down, Knights coming off a massive lay-off, Higgins is forevor injured and can go missing due to efficiency.

Nothing wrong with 2-3 of those guys but not sure i would have all 5 of them. Try and find some more reliable guys.

Coming from a SC novice:
Backline looks very solid

Midfield looks reasonably good although Dangerfield and Sylvia keep threatening to have a breakout season but still lack consistency

Rucks are good (Sandi is a lock and Warnock looks set to become a very good ruckman)

Forwards are similar to mine so a big thumbs up :)

Overall a very good team and I'd go with Broughton over Corey personally, assuming he can remain fit.

Team looks quite balanced overall, good mix of premiums, mid priced and rookies. A couple unique players, Bruce and Rockliffe are a bit of a gamble, but they will definitely get game time bar injuries. Gilbee will be thrown around the ground this year as he was last year, so taking a chance on an older player but could pay off.

Don't know about Dangerfield in the mid, he'll probably go up but won't average 105+ that you want as your 6 midfielders by the end. I'd drop him for a rookie and upgrade Gia to Riewoldt then use extra cash on upgrading Henderson to a better mid pricer (Sylvie, Higgins or Gray look the best)

Many problems, defenders don't like Morris, N.Smith or Tarrant, drop at least 2 and get a premium (Deledio or Gibbs) and Otten.

Midfield looks decent except for Risch, don't get him won't average enough, if you really want him get him after round 10 when he's had his two byes.

Definitely get Sandilands in the ruck, he is a lock.

Forward looks decent but probably because you have too much cash there. Krakouer should definitely be in there and Richardson from North looks to be a great forward rookie.

am i crazy for putting Goddard in the midfield, currently have Hibberd in the backline and i worked out i'd have alot more flexibility with Goddard in the Mid then in the backline

Solid, very similar to mine (backline is identical) but I've got two mid pricers(Gray and Yarran) in the forward line minus Pav and Knights.

Only things I would consider are rookie changes, is Libba guaranteed a spot for most of the season? I've gone Bewick over him since Brisbane's midfield is pretty poor. Other one is not having Z. Smith in your ruck I imagine he'll get pretty solid amount of games since GC have few ruckmen. Only things to consider though since it all looks good.
