I think you should be able to rearrange depending on what Conca scores tonight, set him as your E and if he gets a good score chuck a GC player on the field if not put Atley on the field.

I made a point of having a good mix of players from different sides in order to not be affected by the byes. $46k left in the kitty. Expected pretty much most of my benches to play early on in the year so hopefully can give me some good upgrade options down the track.

Thoughts?

Not crazy but as long as your starting rookies are good you can trade in some MID/FWD rookies later to give flexibility. I'm not overly worried about the MPP thing as my team should be alright through the first 3 triple byes and by then having 3 rookies on the bench should be able to avoid a zero every week.

I'm not sure Petrie is worth the selection seen as though he wont be playing in 2 of the first 4 rounds so i think you may aswell down grade him. I believe there are other midfield opetions surperior to Gaff also, not to say he wont be good but i just think other young midfielders are more advanced in their development. Good side overall.

I'd love some thoughts on my side i think i have finally settled on what my team will be.

Only things I would consider are rookie changes, is Libba guaranteed a spot for most of the season? I've gone Bewick over him since Brisbane's midfield is pretty poor. Other one is not having Z. Smith in your ruck I imagine he'll get pretty solid amount of games since GC have few ruckmen. Only things to consider though since it all looks good.

Wasn't sure who to replace Mzunga with as my last mid after his injury. So I just picked Liba today after he was named. Put Smith in as well but was worried about having too many GC players. basically only have J.Tippett for his MPP ability.

My midfield is very weak but should look better when Harris and Swallow are in it :eek:

Might put Gaff in instead of Liba :eek:? EDIT: Can't afford that upgrade... lol

Downgrade Watson to rookie Upgrade McEvoy and Hurley/Yarran. Or downgrade Foley and upgrade of them.

IMO you have too many risky players - R.Murphy, Foley, Higgins and Gamble in particular. They could smash them or get smashed.

Not sold on McEvoy, but he could have a breakout year. Ditto Hurley.

I.Smith and Hibberd have not been slected to play in round one.

Here is my team:

M - Judd (C), J.Selwood, Cross, Pendlebury, Conca, Atley (D.Swallow, D.Harris, Heppell)

R - Sandilands (VC), Cox (Petrie, Z.Smith)

F - N.Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Hale, A.Krakouer, C.Richardson (Darling, Matera, Dixon)

Chose Conca & Atley over Liberatore & Curnow, time will tell if I made the right choice or not.
Gonna try the Petrie/Hale combo. Deliberated about this for a long time but decided to take the plunge.

I can't see any issues with the players picked. Couple of unique picks which is always good..interesting that you've picked Otten but got him on the bench?

My final team. I changed Curnow to Libba before lockout because i saw Libba starting and Curnow on the bench. FML.
