That saad deliberate was pathetic…still hold the option umpires need to have played the game at some stage in their lives…anyone that’s played a game of footy understands what gaining territory is
This. He could've easily just fumbled that over the line instead of gaining 30 metres and moving the ball forward. Amateurs

Half time come at a good time for us, they were starting to get on top around the ball (albeit with a couple of the worst non free kicks called you will ever see in the ruck, goldy just ran 3m past the ball and blocked TDK and let the ball bounce- almost like the ump didn’t know the rule).

Bit scrappy and at times are bringing some of it on themselves, but jeez the backline standing up well.

Yep. We are really working on our scoring profile. Similar to last week, then in the last quarter we smashed them in scores from stoppage.

That will happen at some stage again tonight I'm sure... we will start scoring from clearance.

its a different game now with the new HTB rules - players are hesitant to pick it up - seeing a lot more tapping to advantage

also getting rid of it a lot quicker just in case they get caught - its a hot potato
Especially tonight where it's as slippery as an oiled up pr0n star and you get pinged even without total control (well we are).

It's not even gaining territory. The rule is 'insufficient intent'. Saad literally sprinted and desperation kicked the ball in an attempt to keep it in. Even if that act does see it go out.... The intent is to keep it in. Cheating interpretation

Absolutely. Saad doing everything he could to actually keep the ball in play - absolute rubbish decision.

Let's be clear: they had us on toast late in that term. That they got none of it on the scoreboard is almost entirely due to their inefficiency inside front half.

We need to calm the **** down. Gov, rush the ball instead of handpassing to an off balance Weitering. Get the ball into Newman and Boyd's hands. Saad, it was bloody clever but you get the ball out of bounds rather than risk the deliberate free. We're getting seduced into playing the game their way, going fast because they're trying to go fast.

Make the turnovers hurt more, because frankly we let them off the hook multiple times going forward there.
Pretty ridiculous that we've only had 17 inside 50s...shockingly low. Need to improve in that area.

Although part of the reason for that is our great efficiency, leading to less repeat i50s because we are actually scoring.

Cincotta doing a great job, Merrett having little impact

Elijah just keeps building, think he will have a better 2nd half. Hewett is controlling the middle

Don't underestimate the role Williams is playing, spreading that forward line

TDK has been huge, more important moments

Backline has been brilliant, but being helped by mids and HFs filling space

I hope we stick to this tempo until * show something different

Yeah, Hewett is having a great game. Sure hands, and cleaning up the fumbles of others.

Not liking the way we looked at the end of the half there. Need to be on the front foot and defend in our front half or they will eventually get the scoreboard ticking
